The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, May 10, teases that there’ll be plenty of tension as Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) joins Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) in the cottage living room.
Although Adam will shift blame to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) when it comes to Rey’s poisoning, he’ll apologize for his mistakes related to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).
Rey will just want Adam to understand that after his procedure at the hospital, he’s going to be arrested. Adam will confess to expecting that, but he’ll still try to bargain with Rey a bit later.
While Adam’s filling out the paperwork before his surgery, he’ll needle Rey about getting the “perfect trifecta” since Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will get better, Sharon will be happy and Adam will be locked up.
Rey will point out there are no guarantees when it comes to Faith, but Adam will get under Rey’s skin about Sharon taking pity on him since he’s innocent of the attempted murder.
Adam will try to give Rey a nudge toward letting him go on the run again after the surgery, but Rey will stick to his guns.
In Faith’s room on Monday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, she’ll wish there was time to write letters to her loved ones. Sharon will determine that Faith fears death could result if the surgery doesn’t go as planned.
However, Sharon will assure Faith that she’s in the very best hands and that everything will be fine.
Faith will get reassurance from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) as well before asking if she can speak with Adam before they go under the knife. Adam will give Faith a genuine apology about his past mistakes and how they affected her – starting when he took her away from her parents as a baby.
After Adam notes that his kidney isn’t a gift or a grand gesture, he’ll tell Faith that he’d be honored if she’d accept it as an apology – and Faith will be willing to do that.
Once Faith and Adam are taken back for surgery prep, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will corner Nick in the waiting area and urge him to eat something. She’ll think Nick has to take care of himself, but he’ll put off getting food until later.
However, Nikki will wind up pulling a Mother-knows-best move and bringing Nick some soup anyway.
As for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll also head to the hospital and praise Nick for getting Adam to come back to Genoa City. Phyllis will wonder just how Nick was able to pull that off!
At the ranch, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will have a faceoff with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) as she demands to know where her son is.
Chelsea will be in panic mode since she can’t reach Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), but Victor will act like Connor’s perhaps just busy with his schoolwork.
Chelsea will concede that maybe she’s paranoid since Victor threatened to take custody of Connor if she didn’t confess. Nevertheless, Chelsea will stand her ground on not giving Victor what he wants.
Chelsea will insist that if she admits guilt to the cops, she’ll be locked up and will lose Connor anyway. Chelsea won’t see how she’s supposed to win here, but Victor will think there’s a way for everyone to win instead.
After Victor alludes to some arrangements he’s already made, he’ll let Chelsea know that the real story’s going to come out – one way or the other. Victor will just think Chelsea has to determine whether she’ll be Victor’s ally or his enemy when the truth’s exposed.
“The choice is yours,” Victor will insist on Monday’s Young and the Restless episode.
Back at the hospital, Rey will talk to Sharon about his plans following Faith’s transplant. Sharon will seem a little surprised when Rey notes that he’s going to arrest Adam.
Rey will wonder if Sharon was hoping he’d let Adam go free, but Sharon will deny it and remind Rey that he’s been doubting Adam’s guilt. Rey will still intend to place Adam under arrest since he’s the official prime suspect.
Sharon will seem overwhelmed and almost fed up as she asks what’s going to happen with them. She’ll wonder if Rey even wants to be her husband anymore, but Rey will get that Sharon’s too drained from everything with Faith to have this conversation.
Once Victor calls and tells Rey to get over the ranch on Monday’s Y&R episode, he’ll talk about a Chelsea development that’ll change everything. Victor will give Chelsea a cocky little wink, but Chelsea will look nervous and irritated over the agreement she’s been forced into.
In Amanda Sinclair’s (Karla Mosley) suite, she’ll feel like she’s one step closer to becoming part of the family after the warm welcome she was given in Sutton Ames’ (Jack Landron) home over the weekend.
Sutton will assure Amanda that they’re a close-knit bunch and will be sorry Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) was a no-show. He’ll make it clear that he intends to make sure Imani comes around.
Sutton will give Amanda some copies of family photos so that she can keep them for herself. He’ll talk about how his son-in-law, Eric Benedict, was the one to notice just how much Amanda resembled her great-great-aunt Florence.
As for the case and any possible plea deal, Sutton will insist it’s not happening. He’ll stand by his innocence and refuse to go down over a politically motivated bogus accusation.
Sutton won’t have any additional answers on Richard Nealon and will claim he didn’t talk to the man – not regarding the Newman information nor about Naya Benedict’s (Ptosha Storey) pregnancy.
Sutton will argue that he was satisfied when he knew Richard was out of Naya’s life. Amanda will plan to ask Naya about Richard later, but she’ll assure Sutton that any personal interest comes second to the task at hand.
Sutton will be appreciative and will trust Amanda when it comes to protecting his future.
Downstairs in the lobby, Imani will greet her grandfather before he drags her over to the bar. Sutton will blast Imani for blowing off lunch with the family and will warn her not to antagonize Amanda any further.
“Maybe I’ll surprise you,” Imani will say before she boards the elevator and heads upstairs.
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will take in the scene before texting Amanda, who’ll be grateful for the heads-up about Imani’s visit. Imani will act like she’s had an epiphany and wants to apologize, but Amanda will seem suspicious of this abrupt about-face.
Imani will insist she wants to make things right and will offer to pitch in on Sutton’s legal defense since she serves as a legal adviser to him. Amanda will get updates on Imani graduating from law school – though she never got around to taking the bar exam.
After Amanda agrees to consider Imani’s offer, Imani will exit before Devon arrives.
Devon will mention how it looked like there was some conspiring going on between Imani and Sutton downstairs. Amanda will talk to Devon about this suspicious sudden turnaround from Imani.
Amanda will think Sutton had a lot more to do with it than Naya’s parents and will think perhaps she should accept Imani’s offer to see what’s actually up.
Amanda will feel there’s definitely more to this than meets the eye! As other Y&R news comes in, we’ll bring you the latest details. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda will uncover some family shockers down the road, so stay tuned.
