The Young and the Restless Spoilers Update: Thursday, March 18 – Adam Reels Over Sharon Texts – Summer & Kyle Engaged Again

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Thursday, March 18, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) will take some time to recharge in a suite at The Grand Phoenix.

Summer and Kyle will discuss how their lunch together is serving as an escape from all the Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) drama – and Kyle will praise Summer for being so cool about everything.

Summer will assure Kyle that she meant it when she said they could get through anything together. After Kyle mentions needing to get back to the office, Summer will note that she’s going to stick around since she was busy with something before Kyle came for their meal.

Kyle will grin at Summer and express his love before he exits.

Once the coast is clear, Summer will open her laptop and check out an article that features the birth announcement of Harrison Locke – the son of the famous Locke “powercouple.” Meanwhile, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will seem chipper as he runs into Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) down in the lobby.

Phyllis will ask if Jack and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) had lunch together, but Jack will insist that he simply had a business meeting there since the restaurant in the hotel has the best Reuben sandwich in town.

Jack will also talk about having a chat with Summer not too long ago – and he’ll add that Summer and Kyle’s relationship seems to be going well.

Phyllis will basically credit herself since she gave Summer some good guidance recently, but she’ll decline to share the details with Jack. After Phyllis talks about offering that advice, Jack will seem disappointed that Kyle hasn’t been as open about communicating with him lately.

Kyle will look at Jack as he rushes by and will barely acknowledge him. It’ll be plain to see that Kyle’s avoiding his father, but Phyllis will try to make Jack feel better about it by suggesting Kyle probably was just in a hurry.

At ChancComm, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will stammer about how they could meet to discuss this before surrendering and expressing that he understands over the phone.

Once Billy disconnects, he’ll rant to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about losing the fight for Ashland’s media company. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victoria Newman’s (Eric Braeden) pitch is the one Ashland chose.

Billy will be spinning out about how this makes him a target and how they have to be prepared. Cyaxares will now be a weapon in Billy’s eyes, but Lily will want him to cool it and just let their team do their jobs. Lily will feel like Billy needs to concentrate on being creative and not let negative thoughts creep in.

When Lily points out how important it is to avoid “old feuds,” Billy will call her out for sounding like Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Lily will admit maybe that’s true, but this is one area that she can find common ground with Victoria on.

Billy will get the sense that Lily fears he’s going to revert to his old ways and go down a dark road again because of Adam. It’ll take some convincing, but Billy will agree to trust their team like Lily wants.

Billy will want to know how Lily’s feeling about their relationship after their latest Victoria-related bump in the road, so she’ll tell him they’re “solid” – though she’ll wonder what Victoria will do next.

At Newman Enterprises, Nikki will get updates from Victoria after her daughter hangs up the phone. Victoria will beat herself up for thinking she’d done so well in the battle for Cyaxares. She’ll wonder if Ashland was playing her in some way and will bring up how he asked her to join him for dinner.

Nikki will freak over Ashland hitting on Victoria, but she’ll think Victoria made the right call by bringing up Ashland’s wife and including her. Nikki will also fret about Victor trusting Adam with his latest alliance. She’ll think there’s the potential for Adam to turn on Victor as usual and break his father’s heart.

On the topic of Billy, Nikki will assume Victoria’s concerned now since Victor and Adam could go after him. Nikki will offer a warning to Victoria about letting her current urge pass and not doing anything she won’t be able to take back.

When Victoria crosses paths with Billy at the coffeehouse later, Billy will act as cool as a cucumber about the Cyaxares loss. Billy will pretend it’s all good – and that goes for his relationship with Victoria, too.

Billy will know how hard it is for Victoria to put herself out there, so he’ll get that she must be feeling awkward about what she blurted out.

That said, Billy won’t think it’s necessary for Lily to feel bad about that. This won’t have to change anything in Billy’s eyes. Once Billy sits down at a table with Victoria, he’ll bring up Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) and her love for the guitar, violin and anything string-related really.

Billy will pitch the idea of getting Katie a musical instrument, but Victoria won’t think Billy really wanted her to weigh in on that.

Instead, Victoria will suspect Billy’s just trying to show that things can feel normal as they co-parent. Y&R spoilers say Victoria will wind up telling Billy to “shoo,” but she’ll be nice about it. There’ll still be a little wistfulness in Victoria’s eyes once Billy’s gone.

At Adam’s penthouse, he’ll break out the bubbly and assure Ashland that he made the right call. Ashland will have to pass on the Champagne since he’ll be anxious to catch his flight back to New York, where he can be with his son. Victor and Adam will learn that the contracts will be sent over soon.

After Victor and Adam say some congratulatory words to each other, Victor will think this calls for a toast – and he’ll want Adam to do the honors. “To us and our massive win,” Adam will say as he raises a glass with his father.

Afterward, Adam will guess he’d better share the news with Chelsea, but Victor will hint that Chelsea already knows. Adam will turn to see Chelsea sitting in her wheelchair nearby.

Chelsea will think to herself about beating Adam and Victor. She’ll long to hop right out of her chair to lash out at the Newman men, but she’ll convince herself that she has to stay the course on her revenge plans. Chelsea will be eager to put Victor’s faith in Adam to the test.

Later, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will score some private time with Chelsea after getting rid of the nurse. Chelsea will have some instructions for Chloe to follow, which Y&R fans won’t hear.

Once Chelsea has delivered her new orders off screen, Chloe will express confusion. She’ll think what Chelsea’s asking her to do seems arbitrary and vague, but she’ll agree to not ask questions and just do it. Chelsea will really need Chloe to trust her on this and will point out Chloe is the only one she can rely on.

After Chloe leaves, Chelsea will grab the tablet from the table and type something. Back with Adam, he’ll have a tense run-in with Victoria at Crimson Lights. Victoria will mention how that when she took over as CEO of Newman Enterprises, Adam warned her that Victor would still be running the show.

Victoria will take a jab now that Adam’s agreed to “total submission” with his latest Victor alliance, but Adam won’t see it that way. Adam will mention Billy and how Victoria’s push for Cyaxares was really about protecting her ex. He’ll suggest that’s a beautiful thing, though he’ll also view it as a bit pathetic.

Once Adam’s alone, his phone will ding as old messages suddenly appear. Adam will see that his phone texted Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) – and he obviously wasn’t the one behind those messages.

The message Chelsea sent about how Adam couldn’t stop thinking about Sharon will appear along with another one pushing Sharon not to ignore him.

Adam will see that Sharon responded by asking Adam to leave her alone and let her focus on Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), who’s become ill. Sharon’s message also urged Adam to let her go for good. Adam will stand there looking dumbfounded over texts that he never sent his ex.

Next, Phyllis will spot Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) at The Grand Phoenix and will try to set her up for a dinner date with a hotel employee named Troy. Phyllis took it upon herself to tell Troy that Sally was single.

Sally will think that’s awfully generous of Phyllis and will add that she certainly takes an interest in the love lives of her guests.

Phyllis will ultimately admit that she’ll have an issue if Sally and Jack move beyond friendship. She’ll think Sally is way out of Jack’s league – and will add that everybody in town knows it. Sally won’t think Phyllis’ opinion should matter nor should anyone else’s.

Once Kyle bumps into Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) at the front desk, he’ll realize she’s checking out and heading home. Kyle will mention how Tara and Ashland said Harrison doesn’t like to fly. He’ll start to say something else about Harrison, but Tara clearly won’t want Kyle talking about their son.

As Tara rages at Kyle, Ashland will enter the building and watch out without hearing any details. After Ashland gets closer, Kyle will wish the Lockes well on their trip back to New York. Ashland will look uneasy as he makes his way out the door with Tara.

Sally will saunter over to tease Kyle about Tara being “the one who got away.” After Sally mentions something potentially still connecting the two of them, Kyle will once again deny that Harrison is his child.

Sally will point out that Kyle’s the one who seems to have Harrison on his mind. Nevertheless, Sally will think Kyle should chill since she truly wants peace now that she’s hanging out with Jack more. Speaking of Jack, Sally will take him a dress shirt she found while she was out shopping, which she’ll admit she loves to do.

Sally will argue that she’ll be crushed if Jack doesn’t accept it, especially since it’d mean returning it and being tempted by a dress that’d break her bank account. When Sally puts it that way, Jack certainly won’t be able to turn down the lovely gift.

Once Jack gets a text from Phyllis about something she wants to meet and tell him about, Sally will confess that Phyllis was quite honest with her earlier.

On the topic of Jack being out of her league, Sally won’t deny it. Jack is the best guy Sally has ever dated, but she won’t see the problem with wanting the best. Jack will seem to like Sally’s response to the drama Phyllis is trying to cause.

Once Kyle and Summer reconvene at Society, they’ll end up deciding to get re-engaged. Kyle will feel like it’d be best to keep that re-engagement a secret under the circumstances. Summer will fully support keeping things under wraps and taking this slow.

Back at Newman Enterprises, Victor will strut in. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nikki will warn Victor not to gloat, but he’ll just want to deliver a pep talk to Victoria. Nikki won’t think that’s a good idea – nor will she think Victor’s partnership with Adam is the right move.

After Nikki warns Victor about Adam doing what he always does, Victor won’t think anything bad is going to happen this time around. Since Victor will feel that Adam has learned from his mistakes, he’ll proudly declare that Adam is going to prove that he’s changed for the better.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor’s faith in Adam will indeed by tested soon thanks to Chelsea. CDL will have other hot Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so pop back in soon.
