The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, April 20, teases that trouble will return to Genoa City in the form of Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi)! Ashland will be back to stir the pot in several different ways, but Y&R fans know he’s already been causing issues at Jabot.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) doesn’t have hard evidence that Ashland was behind the rumors that have been circulating about his family company, but he has a strong hunch. It seems Jack will decide that’s good enough under the circumstances.
If Jack doesn’t act fast and try to stop these rumors from getting out of hand, it could cause far worse problems. Ashland has obviously leaked accusations about mistreatment of employees and an unsafe work environment, so Jabot’s reputation is at stake.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will push Ashland for answers on Tuesday, April 20. Ashland may not flat-out admit to starting the negative buzz, but he’ll probably make some comment that lets Jack know the battle’s on.
It should be crystal clear to Jack that Ashland knows about Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) part in the affair and intends to make him pay in every way possible. As for Kyle, he’ll deal with an alarmed Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) in his suite at The Grand Phoenix.
Tara recently called Kyle, but she didn’t confirm that her fight with Ashland was about her former flame. However, Summer Newman (Hunter King) certainly assumed that was the case since there was no other reason for Tara to dial Kyle’s number.
On Tuesday, Tara may confess Ashland indeed blew up at her over Kyle. Perhaps Kyle will think he needs to face the music with Ashland and handle this man-to-man.
Since Ashland’s going after Jabot and could go after other people Kyle cares about, Kyle might hope to contain the revenge to just him.
Of course, Tara may warn that’s not how Ashland operates. Ashland is a vicious man once he’s been crossed – and Kyle crossed him big time by having an affair with Ashland’s wife.
It doesn’t matter that it was years ago or that Kyle has moved on. Ashland will be determined to destroy Kyle’s world from every angle.
If Kyle’s looming confession doesn’t involve Ashland, it could involve his dad. Kyle omitted a crucial piece of the puzzle when he told the story of his fling to Jack. Since Harrison Locke is actually Kyle’s son, maybe Kyle will think it’s time to share that info with Jack.
Summer will get caught up in some Tara drama when she finds her with Kyle in their hotel room. It certainly won’t be a welcome sight for Summer, who should be insecure about their lingering connection.
Kyle has tried to help Summer understand that Tara is merely part of his past, but Summer may not be so sure once she witnesses this intense encounter. That’s especially true since Tara and Kyle share a child. There’s no getting around that part, so Summer will keep wrestling with her fears.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will urge Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to give their marriage one more chance. Sadly, Rey seems all out of chances to give! He’s done fighting for this relationship, but Sharon’s still got a little fight left.
Despite Rey’s insistence that they’re over, Sharon will hope she can convince Rey that they could still have a bright future together. She’ll want to grow old with Rey and have the life they planned, but how can they when Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) always hangs over them like a dark cloud?
Rey just can’t deal with Sharon’s constant need to put Adam above all else – including her own husband. Sharon will worry that Rey’s really going to move out for good, but Rey will just know he can’t spend another night under the same roof with Sharon right now.
It’s possible Rey will have a change of heart later, but Sharon will apparently fail to win him over on Tuesday, April 20 and it looks like she’s dumped for now.
