The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of August 2-6 teases that Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will deliver a marriage proposal of some sort – and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will miss a crucial appointment. Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) misery will also be a priority for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), so here’s what viewers can look forward to.
First, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will deliver a desperate plea and hope she can convince Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to try again.
Jack just won’t be able to ignore what he views as the real Sally anymore, so she’ll be out of luck!
Meanwhile, Phyllis’ trip to LA will pay off when she figures out how Sally finagled the Milan job for Summer Newman (Hunter King).
Eric Forrester (John McCook) will clear that up and send Phyllis home armed with enough info for Sally’s downfall.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will realize Phyllis was right to be wary of Sally and Tara. Once Phyllis and Nick contact Summer via video chat, their daughter will stick to her story initially.
Summer will act like she made her choices, but Nick and Phyllis will keep pushing until they get the truth about Tara’s blackmail.
Y&R spoilers say Phyllis will immediately start thinking of ways she can make Tara’s ruin as painful as possible.
Tara will deserve to be miserable as far as Phyllis is concerned!
As for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), he’ll be in a tricky situation as he tries to keep his spot in Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) life.
Kyle won’t want to give Tara a pass, but he’ll get that one wrong move could scare Tara into running with their son.
Summer will shock Kyle with an apology later, but he may think he should’ve picked up on Summer’s strange behavior and pried the truth out of her.
Kyle will no doubt wish he’d saw through Summer’s strategy so they could’ve stood together against Tara.
Of course, Kyle should be grateful to Summer for her willingness to put his relationship with Harrison first.
Even so, Kyle won’t want to lose Summer for good and may catch a flight to Italy so they can try to work this out face to face.
Over with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), he’ll shut down Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) attempt to get vengeance.
Victor would normally love for Adam to show no mercy with a business rival, but he won’t feel the same way when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is the one being targeted.
Adam will have to give up on his revenge plot for now, but he might save that secret tactic for a rainy day. In New York, Victoria will be busy making grand plans with Ashland.
They’ll have a conversation about another trip – one that Ashland will think can serve as their honeymoon.
It sounds like Ashland will deliver some sort of a marriage proposal, even if it’s an informal one.
Ashland will apparently want to make Victoria his new wife, so she should support that idea quickly since she thinks Ashland only has a limited amount of time.
Ashland will pursue treatment, but is he faking his condition? Doubts remain about whether Ashland has ever had small-cell lung carcinoma at all!
Elsewhere, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will come through as a source of inspiration for Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). It could lead to a bit of a “eureka” moment for Billy, but we’ll see how it goes.
Next, Victor will pass along a business proposition.
Since Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is starting her own law firm – possibly with Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) – Victor might think he could use them as part of his legal team.
Regardless, Victor will have a business proposal that catches someone off guard.
We also know Victor will battle some suspicions regarding Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), so he may worry this new-and-improved attitude of hers is another act.
Amanda will also have Sutton Ames’ (Jack Landron) constant threats and destruction on her mind. She’ll want Sutton to pay for killing her father, so she’ll have to decide if revenge is worth the risk.
As for Mariah Copeland, she’ll miss the doctor’s appointment she promised to return for. Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will freak since it’s not like Mariah to be so irresponsible.
Tessa won’t understand what’s happening or why “Mariah” seems so aloof on the group texts.
Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will fear that Mariah’s been pushed to her limit and won’t come back to Genoa City.
Abby will share that fear with Tessa and go even deeper when she opens up to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
As for Mariah, we may see another glimpse of her in captivity. Will Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) ultimately be revealed as the surrogate snatcher?
