The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may fight for Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) miracle cure through a new experimental treatment. Victoria could turn to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for help through the latest medical trials and their powerful Newman connections.
Y&R fans know Victor always calls on the best and brightest doctors when a family member’s facing a health crisis. Victor has the top specialists in the country on speed dial, so he’s a good person to turn to when medical issues strike.
Ashland may not be family, but he’s already becoming important to Victoria. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria will grow even closer to Ashland in the coming weeks, so that could leave her desperate to save his life.
Victoria may fall madly in love and worry that this relationship’s going to slip right through her fingers. Ashland doesn’t have much of a future unless someone intervenes with a treatment to give him more time or even save him from an early grave.
Since this is a soap, there’s always the possibility of a miracle cure that only Victor can get his hands on.
Of course, the show may not want to take that route considering they gave Ashland a specific health battle and not just some vague illness.
It’s easier to offer a miracle cure for something like a rare unnamed blood disorder than small-cell lung carcinoma.
It might be insensitive if the show tried to downplay the severity of Ashland’s condition and give it some instant miraculous fix in the end.
However, that doesn’t mean we won’t see a frantic Victoria explore all possible options. Even if Victoria isn’t successful, she could hope for the best and try to save Ashland with Victor’s assistance.
Ashland is a very wealthy and powerful man himself, but Victor’s reach is at another level. There’s no one who can match Victor when it comes to finding all the available experimental trials and chances at survival.
Ashland might appreciate the effort Victoria puts into this regardless of the outcome. He might continue to stand against any treatment or face a failed treatment instead, but Victoria’s concern and new devotion to Ashland might bring him peace in the final months of his life.
