The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) may poison Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) against each other. Based on the hints Victoria has offered, she just might use Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) to destroy Victor and Adam’s father-son bond!
Let’s consider what we know so far. Victoria hates that Adam is being given yet another chance and would much rather see him as far away from the family as possible. She’s been frustrated since even Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has blinders on in Victoria’s opinion.
Victoria feels like things are going to end the way they always do when it comes to Victor and Adam: with the men tearing each other apart. Since Victoria wants Adam out of all their lives, it’s reasonable for her to try to nudge this process along.
Victoria also hoped Ashland would make Adam and Victor miserable using his seat on the board of directors for Cyaxares, which is now Newman Media.
From Victoria’s perspective, she probably sees the potential to destroy Victor’s relationship with Adam and spoil their plans to destroy Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), too. This would be a win-win situation for Victoria in the end.
All Victoria has to do is cozy up to Ashland and make him see things her way. Ashland is protective of the company he built from the ground up anyway, so that’s something Victoria can use to her advantage.
Victoria can act like Victor and Adam are ruining everything Ashland worked for. She can rile Ashland up to the point that he tries to regain control or even throw his support behind a bigger, better company created for Newman Enterprises.
Victoria will just want to be sure she can protect Billy from total annihilation and turn Victor against Adam for letting him down again.
Of course, Victor will never turn his back on Adam forever, but Victoria may hope to make Adam angry enough that he finally leaves town like he kept promising. Victoria is already making progress on her mission to win Ashland over, so that’s step one.
Once Victoria has Ashland as a true ally, she can prove she’s the new master manipulator of the family and plot to blow up Adam’s world again.
Naturally, Victoria’s plan will likely end up backfiring, but this certainly seems like a strategy she’s going to try. As other Y&R news pops up, we’ll pass along updates.
