The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) might decide to beat Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at his own game. In the January 26 episode of Y&R, Billy defends Victoria to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
Billy acknowledges that it must be difficult for Victoria to see her former flame with someone new, especially due to their co-parenting situation.
Billy seems to get that Victoria’s battling complicated feelings, so he’s willing to cut her some slack. In fact, Billy goes as far as to say he’d feel the same in Victoria’s shoes.
Billy confesses it’d be weird to see another man in Victoria’s life and their children’s lives. However, Billy adds that he would try to keep an open mind as long as Victoria was involved with a good guy.
Of course, this seems like the prime setup for Victoria to indeed get involved with someone new. Could Victoria decide to make Billy jealous with a new man? That could prove to be quite a challenge – just as Billy said it would be.
As for the “good guy” part, can we really trust Billy’s judgment on that? It wasn’t that long ago that Billy wasn’t a very good guy himself! It seems likely Billy would have a problem with just about anyone Victoria started dating.
Billy’s mature and reasonable as long as it’s him who’s in the new relationship. Once it’s the other way around, maybe not so much! At least that’s what Victoria might hope if she reels in some guy to be her new main squeeze.
Victoria’s been trying to use the kids to her advantage, but she’d probably never take that angle too far. She loves her children and wouldn’t manipulate them to the point of really hurting them.
It doesn’t seem like the plan’s working all that much anyway since Billy’s adamant that he’s happy with Lily.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria needs to kick things up a notch if she wants to win Billy back, though we don’t know why she’d want him after all the heartbreak he caused her.
Nevertheless, that appears to be the story Y&R writers are telling right now, so we have to consider what Victoria might do next.
Victoria’s new man might be on the horizon if Billy’s hint becomes a reality. Perhaps Billy will have to watch Victoria start to move on – and he might find it’s indeed not so easy!
It’d be a smart strategy on Victoria’s part to give Billy a taste of his own medicine and see if he’s really over her.
