The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will likely have a new job offer for Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) – and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) may demand that her husband accept this safe career path forward.
After everything Chance has been through, it’s not a good idea for him to take on any dangerous missions or cases anytime soon.
Abby may even want Chance to be a stay-at-home dad, which would probably be good for a while since Chance needs to bond with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor.
However, Chance is someone who craves challenges and adventures. There may be some clashing if Chance considers going back to work on the police force and putting himself in risky situations all over again.
Even Chance’s old private security firm idea may be too risky as far as Abby’s concerned.
Of course, Victor offered Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) a spot on his security firm team at one point, but Rey passed it up.
Maybe that could become the perfect job for Chance now and further solidify him as a member of the family.
Victor always has investigations to run, but he would never let Chance be put in harm’s way – especially not after seeing how distraught Abby was over losing him.
Kim Dunaway (Roxanne Hart) told Abby over the phone that Chance was “in a bad way” and needed his wife, but it seems Chance’s wounds are more emotional and psychological at this point.
Regardless, Chance will enjoy a happy reunion with Abby and several others soon. He’ll even be up for a welcome home party, so he’s not in terrible shape all things considered.
Once Chance takes some time to recuperate and connect with Dominic, he’ll eventually want to stay busy with a new gig of some sort.
Victor could always put Chance on the team at Newman Media if he wants a different career path entirely. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) would probably love working with his old friend, so that’s another option Victor could present if need be.
Regardless, Abby may warn in no uncertain terms that Chance won’t be heading off on dangerous assignments anymore!
Abby will want to make sure Chance puts safety and his family first, so we’ll see if he can do that this time around.
