The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) verified Theo Vanderway’s (Tyler Johnson) story. He was in New York, on a business trip for the boutique business he inherited from Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), and just so happened to run into Tara, who was with her son, Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez).
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) didn’t question Theo. She was glad to get and then weaponize the dirt. His tell, about Harrison strongly resembling Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), was gold to Skyle’s self-appointed rival.
However, following Tara’s eventual admission that Kyle was Harrison’s biological father, it’s fair to ask a reasonable question. Has Tara been working with Theo at any point in the plot?

It doesn’t have to be that Tara contacted Theo and they cooked up a plan. Instead, he ran into her, like he said, and asked pushy questions.
Theo has very little self-control. So, it’s not a stretch to think that he questioned Tara about Harrison’s existence. She may have brushed him off at first, with Theo then pressuring her to admit the truth.
Would Theo have pursued some form of blackmail, telling Tara that he would go to Ashland with his suspicions? Sure, but it’s somewhat complicated to see what Theo would be getting out of such a plan now.
Unless he’s using his own son as another means of getting his cousin, Kyle. But that might be too much even for Theo.

Alternatively, it could be that Tara has pulled the wool over Theo’s eyes. Kyle wouldn’t know if Tara and Theo connected romantically in New York.
Theo is the boy’s father and Tara doesn’t want that to be the case. So, she lied to him after he requested a paternity test in the recent past and paid to rig that result.
Tara sees Kyle as the man who should be Harrison’s father. Kyle’s well-heeled life also plays well for her.

However, if there was no scheme from the beginning, then maybe Tara is simply trying to sever her tie to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). She could be telling the truth in not wanting her husband to have known that Kyle was Harrison’s father.
But now that the truth is out, she needs to protect her son and herself. So, she’s urged Kyle to claim paternity and is planning to live in Genoa City, Wisconsin, so that Harrison can bond with his real father.
In all likelihood, Theo is playing the agitator once again. But Johnson’s character did clearly pass the baton to Sally, so she could keep her nose in other people’s daytime dramas.
