The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 18, tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will face off over missing Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) – and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will kick Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) out of her hotel.
First, Rey will continue to tackle the case of Mariah’s disappearance. Now that the investigation is official, it’s time for Rey to get serious and start looking at some actual suspects.
Of course, Rey’s mind always goes straight to Adam when a crime has been committed.
It won’t be long until Rey stops by Newman Media to grill Adam, so he’ll apparently accuse him of having something to do with Mariah’s vanishing act.
Rey might spin a theory about Adam wanting to be the hero who saves another one of Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) daughters.
Rey might think this is about creating chaos just so Adam can be the one to resolve it, but Adam will make it clear that he had nothing to do with Mariah’s disappearance.
Naturally, Adam will be quite concerned for Sharon and will want to help his ex if she needs any Newman resources.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will indeed provide those resources before the week’s over, so at least Rey will be able to attack this case from multiple angles.
In the meantime, it sounds like Phyllis will throw Sally out of The Grand Phoenix. Y&R spoilers say Phyllis will demand that someone pack his or her bags, so it makes sense that Sally will be the one kicked to the curb.
This could leave Sally in a bit of a bind when it comes to where she’ll live now, but she’ll figure things out like she always does. Sally is nothing if not adaptable and creative!
Over with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), he’ll make a vow to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi).
This may involve promising that Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) will be in good hands with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) in Italy – and that Ashland will never be forgotten no matter what the future holds.
It’s looking more and more likely that Ashland is faking his illness, but he’ll keep acting like a changed man.
Ashland had better watch his back since secrets tend to come to light in Genoa City – especially when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is on a mission to make it happen.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be on Victor’s side in the fight to expose Ashland, so there’ll be a discussion about digging into his past at some point this week.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will remain deeply enamored with Ashland and their uncertain future, but she’s in for a rude awakening down the road.
