The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, July 7, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will confess his Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) ruse to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) offers a “magic number” to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). Here’s what fans can expect in Wednesday’s exciting show.
In Ashland’s suite, he’ll talk to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about his inevitable decline and will know he’s being selfish to spend his remaining time with her.
Victoria will bring up the idea of treatment again, but Ashland will insist he’s made the decision not to pursue that and needs to know Victoria accepts his terms.
Victoria will take that deal while Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) chat with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) in the lobby.
Billy will praise Nate for his work on Ask MD Now before talk turns to medical advice regarding a “colleague” and a potential lung cancer diagnosis.
Nate will seem uncomfortable over the questions and won’t offer all that much info. He’ll eventually dash off to Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) for a party that’s about to get underway.
After Nate joins Devon, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose), Imani will ask Amanda if they can tell Nate the truth.
Amanda will tease Imani about not being able to keep a secret before admitting Imani is her sister.
The updates will throw Nate for a loop as he realizes this is the same woman who filed for a restraining order, but Amanda will note that a lot has changed.
Imani will get rather flirty with Nate as she asks him about Ask MD Now and how often he gets recognized.
Elena Dawson (Bryton James) will arrive next and will let Amanda know she’s already met Imani. She’ll wonder how long Imani’s in town for before talk turns back to the sister shocker.
Amanda and Imani will explain to Elena that they have the same bio mom, which will lead to Elena’s realization that it’s Naya Benedict (Ptosha Story) from the news.
Amanda will admit that she was defending her grandfather, Sutton Ames (Jack Landron), but now she’s defending Naya.
Since Amanda’s family ties aren’t public knowledge yet, she’ll hope Nate and Elena can keep this quiet. “You look like you can keep a secret, Nate,” Imani will insist.
The conversation will get awkward as Imani realizes Amanda, Devon, Nate and Elena have all mixed it up when it comes to dating.
However, Devon will feel like everything worked out like it was supposed to – and Nate will echo the idea.
Before Imani leaves, she’ll mention how it was an “eye-opening” night. Imani will note that Genoa City is really growing on her as she looks over at Nate.
While Amanda is showing Imani out, Elena and Nate will exchange an eyebrow raise.
At the ranch, Victor will lie that Dr. Hedges (Michael Bofshever) is there to discuss a different medical issue, not something related to Chelsea.
Adam won’t buy it, so Victor will finally admit he offered Chelsea the chance to avoid prison time. He’ll explain how he got Chelsea to agree to confess to poisoning Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
Victor will add that Chelsea agreed to spend time in a psychiatric ward since he promised to shorten her stay there.
Adam will assume Chelsea was pretending to have a breakdown this whole time, but Victor will argue that he wouldn’t go that far.
Chelsea was cognizant enough to play by his rules, but Victor won’t think that means she’s well.
Adam will realize Victor paid Dr. Hedges to help with the plot, but Victor will insist that Chelsea belongs in the psych ward.
Victor will want Adam to understand that this deal meant the search was called off for Adam – allowing him to come home. It also allowed Connor’s mom to avoid prison, which was important to Victor.
Adam will argue that Victor should’ve told him right away, but Victor will counter that it “wouldn’t have changed a damn thing.”
Victor will note that he had good intentions, but Adam will want to get Chelsea out of her facility without having her serve jail time.
Adam will think Chelsea’s getting worse because she’s stuck in there and will want to get Dr. Hedges’ assessment on her mental state.
At The Grand Phoenix on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Victoria will cross paths with Billy and shut down his attempts to fish for info on Ashland’s cancer prognosis.
Victoria will think Billy should stick to the actual news and save the other stuff for the tabloids.
Afterward, Billy will arrive to see Ashland in his hotel suite. He’ll want to be direct about what he’s heard about Ashland’s declining health.
Billy will argue that he wants to help Ashland carry on his legacy. He’ll think ChancComm is the perfect fit to help Ashland do that.
Ashland won’t think Billy could afford Locke Communications Group, but Billy will continue his pitch. He’ll want to make a generous offer for Ashland to accept now or down the line.
Ashland will acknowledge that it took some nerve for Billy to roll the dice in this way. He’ll invite Billy to write down what he’d be willing to pay for his empire and let him mull it over.
Ashland will contend that if he doesn’t get in touch with Billy by the end of the day tomorrow, then Billy will know he’s not interested.
Billy will agree to write a “magic number” down – though he’ll assure Ashland that he seriously hopes he’s wrong about his prognosis. Billy will add that he wouldn’t wish that on his worst enemy.
Once Ashland is alone, he’ll take a look at the slip of paper Billy used for his number. Ashland will seem a bit taken aback by how much Billy’s willing to pay.
As for Victoria, she’ll run into Lily at Crimson Lights and warn her to put a leash on Billy.
Later, Lily will meet up with Billy at home and get him to write down the same amount he offered Ashland.
Lily will freak since she won’t know how they’re supposed to get their hands on that kind of money, but Billy will think they can figure that out once Ashland accepts the offer.
Back at the ranch, Dr. Hedges will tell Adam that Chelsea has legitimate mental issues. Nevertheless, the doc will point out that Chelsea’s skills as a con artist are very much intact.
Dr. Hedges will explain how Chelsea secretly recorded him admitting to his part in the deception, so he’ll argue that now they have to let her go free. Victor will refuse to give into what he’ll view as an empty threat.
Dr. Hedges will gripe about his career being at stake, but Victor will point out that Chelsea could go to prison for manipulating the legal system. He’ll warn about not screwing up again as Dr. Hedges exits.
Once Adam is alone with Victor, he’ll argue that Chelsea is desperate for her freedom. Adam will add that Chelsea won’t be a threat to anyone and will plan to make sure she gets the help she needs.
Victor will think that’s the guilt talking and will suggest using a bargaining chip instead. He’ll think Chelsea wants access to her son more than anything, so that’s their ace in the hole.
Victor will tell Adam he’s going to tell Chelsea they’re offering her a wonderful opportunity and that she’d be stupid to jeopardize it.
“You also tell her that if she even thinks about betraying me, she will no longer have any access to her son,” Victor will warn.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor and Chelsea’s war will press on, so don’t miss what’s ahead on Y&R.
