The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, May 5, reveals that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will sputter as he gets up and clears debris away following the ceiling collapse. After Nick peeks through a hole and sees an unconscious Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), he’ll warn his brother not to die on him.
Nick will remind Adam that he made a promise to go back to Genoa City and help Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), so he’ll need Adam to wake up. Adam will finally awaken and start coughing. He’ll assure Nick that his kidneys are still intact, but there’ll be a giant tree limb pinning Adam’s legs.
Nick will push Adam to summon every ounce of his strength to free himself, so Adam will do just that. Afterward, Adam will see that he can reach the door, but he’ll be reluctant to just leave Nick there.
Since they won’t have their phones and Adam can’t go to the police as a wanted man, that’ll leave them with a dilemma.
However, Nick won’t care what happens to him as long as Adam goes home to save Faith. Adam will decide he’s got an idea and will vow to return. “Will you?” Nick will ask in Wednesday’s Young and the Restless episode.
Adam will taunt Nick a bit for not trusting him to come back, but Nick will decide he’s putting his faith in Adam.
While Adam’s gone, Nick will examine a huge gash on his leg and will start to hallucinate that Faith’s there with him. This vision of Faith will warn Nick that Adam can’t be trusted, but Nick will think he believes Adam for once in his life.
Adam will eventually return with updates on how he went to the fire station since firefighters don’t usually ask a lot of questions – though Adam did give them the fake name of “Billy Abbott.” Since Adam saw the gash on Nick’s leg, he made sure they brought an ambulance.
Nick will thank Adam, but Adam will push him to wait until they’re on the jet and on their way to help Faith. After Adam asks if Nick’s ready to go home, he’ll extend his hand – and Nick will clasp it in a powerful moment where the brothers come together.
Back in Genoa City on Wednesday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will see that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is sleeping and write her a quick note before he leaves.
At Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan), she’ll pace around and drop a book due to how nervous she seems. Chelsea will eventually grab her purse and a cane as she heads for the door.
When Chelsea opens the door to leave, she’ll imagine Adam glaring at her and yelp. It’ll actually be Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) standing there, so she’ll wonder what’s going on. Chelsea will admit she’s going stir crazy and will rant about Chloe unceremoniously bailing on her.
However, Chloe will confess she wanted to see how Chelsea was doing. Chloe will think it’s good that she came since she’ll want to talk Chelsea out of leaving the penthouse and going into town.
Chelsea will insist she’ll keep up her act of a slow recovery and will feel like Chloe can help her.
At Society on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Chelsea will hobble in using the cane with Chloe cheering her on. After Chloe and Chelsea sit, Chloe will notice Rey nearby and will tell Chelsea that the pressure’s on. Rey will spy the ladies suspiciously and join them at their table moments later.
After Rey says it’s nice to see Chelsea out and about, he’ll mention that she doesn’t have her nurse. Chelsea will claim that’s actually helped her to work harder on her recovery.
Chelsea will ask if there are any leads on Adam, so Rey will hint about the case heading in a new direction – one that broadens the investigation.
Chelsea will claim that sounds promising before Rey exits. That’ll leave Chloe panicking since she’ll assume they’re the new direction Rey hinted about. Chelsea will contend that even if Rey suspects something, there’s no proof.
As long as they stay calm and don’t act suspicious, Chelsea will think they’re going to be fine.
At the ranch, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will admit to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that he talked to his pilot. He’ll tell Nikki that a tornado touched down on the Montalvo farm, where Adam is suspected of hiding and where Nick went to find him.
In Faith’s hospital room, she’ll wake up to find Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) sitting across the room. Moses will offer to listen if Faith wants to talk about the bad dreams she’s been having, but she’ll offer to teach him how to play chess instead.
After they start playing, it’ll become apparent to Faith that Moses is hustling her a bit and already knows how. Faith will take a brief call from Sharon and cut it short to get back to playing. Suddenly, Faith will seem quite ill, so Moses will rush off to get a doctor.
Back with Victor, he’ll play himself a game of chess and blame Chelsea for Adam’s problems. After Victor alludes to laying a trap for an aggressive queen, Nikki will wonder what that means. “You’ll see,” Victor will say cryptically.
After Nikki checks in with Sharon, they’ll discuss how far they’ve come in their relationship. Nikki will be optimistic about Nick bringing Adam home and will push Sharon to have hope as well.
After Sharon admits Rey moved out, she’ll suggest Nikki must be glad things didn’t work out between Sharon and Nick.
Nikki will get honest and admit if given the choice between Sharon and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Sharon would win by a landslide. That’ll leave Sharon laughing in a moment of relief, but the tension will return when Rey brings by some soup later.
Sharon will hope they can talk, but Rey will insist he was mostly just dropping off the car and that they can talk in the morning.
After Rey leaves, Sharon will get a call about Faith’s sudden crisis and take off. As for Chelsea and Chloe, they’ll return to the penthouse and find Victor sitting there. Victor will tell Chelsea that the cane was a nice touch, but she’ll demand to know how he got in there.
After Victor confesses that Adam gave him a key for emergencies, he’ll wonder if Chelsea was out celebrating the destruction of his son’s life. Victor will eventually admit he’s there to deliver an ultimatum.
Victor will push Chelsea to go confess her crime to the cops and clear Adam’s name. If Chelsea will do that, then Victor won’t take Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) away from her.
“You can’t do that! You wouldn’t dare!” Chelsea will snap. Victor will fire back by asking if Chelsea wants to try him. He’ll insist it wouldn’t be hard to get custody since Connor’s father is a fugitive and his mother’s a con artist who’s recovering from a stroke.
Victor will think Chelsea knows him well enough by now to realize he can bring all kinds of things to bear in this case.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will make a daring move to deal with the Newmans soon, so stay tuned to see what she comes up with. CDL will have lots of other great Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news for you, so make us your go-to source.
