The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of August 23-27 teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will move forward with a wedding dress scheme while Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) panics over the baby coming. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also score Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) dirt while Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) suspects Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) secret.
For starters, let’s talk about Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) marriage plans.
Y&R viewers know Victoria wants a beyond extravagant event in Tuscany – and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has declared that the sky’s the limit.
Of course, that means Victoria will need a gorgeous gown for her big day.
The idea of designing Victoria’s wedding dress will appeal to Sally since money’s no object and it’s sure to create plenty of buzz.
Victoria and Ashland are a major powercouple now, so there’ll be tons of press about the bride and how stylish she looks.
Sally may view this as a chance at redemption and an opportunity to put Newman Media’s fashion platform on the map. During a meeting with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), Sally will be cryptic about what she’s working on.
Chloe will finally convince Sally to spill, so Sally will admit she’s going to convince Victoria to let her design the wedding dress.
Naturally, Chloe might doubt Sally’s ability to do that since she recently manipulated Victoria’s niece, Summer Newman (Hunter King), into leaving town.
There may be concerns about Victoria holding a grudge on Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) behalf and shutting the idea down.
However, Chloe will soon learn that Sally isn’t one to be underestimated.
Flattery will get you everywhere in many cases – and if that doesn’t work, Sally’s talent may do the rest.
Unfortunately, there may not even be a wedding since Victor is digging into Ashland’s past and will soon make an intriguing discovery.
Victor will give Nick and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) updates, but he might need more info before he calls it incriminating.
As for Lily, she’ll sense that Billy’s hiding something – and it may involve his own search into Ashland’s history.
Billy will want to protect Victoria and thwart this massive mistake of hers, but Lily may feel like he needs to butt out once and for all.
Finally, Mariah will have a freak-out in the room she’s being held in.
Y&R spoilers say Mariah will go into labor and worry she’ll have to fly solo when it comes to the birth.
Mariah’s rescue is coming up, but there’ll be some tense moments in the meantime!
