The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of December 13-17 teases that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will return while Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) proposal stuns Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) psychological decline will also be an issue, so here’s what Y&R viewers can expect.
For starters, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will assure Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that he’s in total control. Billy will let Lily know that he’s never been more focused in his life, but she’ll still seem concerned about his plan.
Lily will insist that if that’s true, then there’s something she wants Billy to do for her – and she’ll warn that he’s not going to like it. However, Billy really appreciates Lily’s support and will hopefully do whatever it takes to offer a little more peace of mind.
Over with Nate, he’ll catch Elena offer guard with a proposal. Nate won’t have marriage on his mind just yet, but he’ll still want to take a big step forward with Elena. When Elena realizes Nate’s asking her to move in with him, it’ll definitely throw her for a loop.
Although the timing feels right, this could lead to more problems in Elena and Nate’s relationship. Nate is technically Elena’s boss, so she’s already been wary of the perception that brings around the hospital. Moving in with Nate could add to Elena’s concerns, so we’ll see how it all plays out.
In the meantime, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will have some concerns of his own. After Devon approaches Chance at Society’s bar, he’ll ask if Chance is doing OK. Devon won’t think Chance seems to be doing well at all, so he’ll try to get to the bottom of how Chance is really holding up.
Chance may try to downplay things and act like it’s just going to take time to adjust. Still, Devon will definitely fret over Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor and the stressful environment this might create at home.
Finally, Melissa Claire Egan will make her long-awaited return to the role of Chelsea Lawson. Now that Egan’s back from maternity leave, Chelsea will be ready to shake up Genoa City. She’ll start by surprising Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) at Society and asking what she missed!
