The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of December 20-24 teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will be on thin ice while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has a new job for Noah Newman (Rory Gibson). Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will also team up, so both the Abbott family and the Newman family will be busy with holiday plans.
The week will start off on a rather sour note for Jack and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Y&R spoilers say the brothers will have a showdown after Billy reveals his fake drinking and gambling scheme. Jack will be sick and tired of Billy’s fixation on Newman vengeance, so he’ll wish Billy would just grow up and get over it!
Despite Jack’s warning that this could end badly for Billy, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will continue to back up her beau.
That means playing along when Billy acts intoxicated and takes a major fall in front of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) at Society.
Billy will make Adam and Victor believe his life has crumbled to the point that it’s newsworthy.
Billy will want to slap Victor and Adam with a lawsuit this time around, so he’ll need them to take the bait and print something based on his phony epic flameout.
Sally is caught up in all this since she’s been shooting footage on her phone and sending it to Adam.
However, it appears Victor will bust Sally and make it clear that whatever she’s doing isn’t going to make Adam her man.
Victor will think Sally has a personal agenda, but he may warn he won’t tolerate someone who plays games – especially not when those games involve his son’s heart.
Sally will be in dangerous territory since it’s never a good idea to get on Victor’s bad side.
While Victor pushes Sally to steer clear of Adam romantically, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) won’t give up on a “Chadam” reunion.
Even so, Chelsea will have to accept that it’s not happening right this second and focus on what can happen instead.
The best Chelsea can hope for this Christmas is some pleasant co-parenting time with Adam as they hang out with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), so that’s exactly what the three of them will have.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will trade sentimental gifts that they purchased before their split, so they’ll be a little blue ahead of the holiday.
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will also have a difficult Christmas since he still feels out of place in Genoa City and believes he’s let down the people he loves.
After Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) has one of his usual “baby whisperer” scenes with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor, it’ll highlight how lost and alone Chance feels.
Chance will wish he could connect with the baby in that way and will blame himself for missing time that would’ve allowed it to happen.
There could also be a little jealousy going on since Devon will seem like he’s got this whole dad thing down pat. Chance is the one with the daddy title, but he’ll feel left out in some ways.
In the meantime, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will make a significant choice that affects her future. Once Elena decides she’s ready to move in with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), they’ll start making all the necessary preparations.
Victor will look forward to a Newman family Christmas celebration, but he’ll need a right-hand man.
If there are presents to deliver or perhaps Newman family members to round up, Noah will be just the guy for the job. Regardless of the details, Victor will appreciate having Noah back in town.
Next, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will take a step toward making a baby commitment with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). They’ll mull over the possibilities – including adoption – as they try to nail down a family plan.
Once Traci catches a flight home, she’ll join forces with Jack and bring the Christmas spirit to anyone who needs it.
Nick will have a similar idea when he dresses up as Santa Claus for a good cause. He’ll spread some gifts around to kids who need them before a holiday dream brings some clarity to his life.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say the holidays should be special for the Newmans, Abbotts and everyone else living in GC.
