The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of June 28 to July 2 teases that Summer Newman (Hunter King) will be cruel to crying Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as she shuts down his reunion attempt. Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will also react to some horrible news while Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) demands answers from Sutton Ames (Jack Landron).
Y&R fans know Summer feels like she’s been backed into a corner. She’s chosen to break Kyle’s heart and take a new job in Italy, but it’s only because Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) has forced her into this situation.
Summer would be risking Kyle’s relationship with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) if she stuck around or tried to tell him the truth, so she’ll pour salt in the wound instead.
In The Young and the Restless weekly preview video, Summer sheds more tears as she insists there’s no future between them. She adds that Kyle has nothing left to fight for. “For you!” Kyle protests in the promo clip. “For the life that we planned to have together.”
Kyle gets choked up as he begs Summer to stay and keep their dreams intact, but Summer will stand her ground and leave him all alone. She’ll be cruel for Kyle’s own good and hope it convinces him not to chase after her.
Meanwhile, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will pay a visit to Ashland’s suite so they can continue bonding and preparing for the merger.
Unfortunately, some news on Ashland’s phone will rob him of his good mood. “How could this have happened?” Ashland wonders aloud in the weekly preview video.
We know Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will pursue Ashland’s health story after hearing some gossip in the week ahead. Perhaps Ashland will be upset over that initial gossip and question who leaked info about him being seriously ill.
Ashland knew word would spread eventually, but he was really hoping to lock in more merger details before that happened. However, Victoria will be there to offer reassurance and let Ashland know they’ll tackle any challenges that come their way together.
In the park, Amanda will confront Sutton about Naya Benedict’s (Ptosha Storey) murder confession. Naya turns herself in for causing Richard Nealon’s car crash on the Friday, June 25 episode, but Amanda will still think Sutton is at fault.
During the week of June 28-July 2, Amanda will demand to know how Sutton convinced Naya to take the blame for a murder he’s responsible for.
Of course, Amanda may not have the whole story and shouldn’t be surprised if there’s at least one more twist in all this!
