The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of March 22-26 tease that some shocking developments are ahead in Genoa City. Before we get to what’s happening, we should mention that Y&R will be preempted for NCAA March Madness basketball coverage on Monday, March 22.
Things will pick back up on Tuesday, March 23, so let’s discuss all the drama that’ll play out for the rest of the week.
For starters, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will be an emotional wreck as she sits by Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) bedside at the hospital. Rey will remain unconscious, so that’ll bring some growing fears for Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind).
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will do his best to ease Faith’s mind, but she won’t think her dad can guarantee Rey’s recovery.
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will manage to separate their personal lives from their professional ones in the week ahead. Nate broke things off with Elena recently, but they’ll come together as coworkers and do their best to help Rey pull through this ordeal.
Rey’s blood test results will point to trouble – and a search of Sharon’s cottage will back them up. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey is a poisoning victim.
It turns out someone snuck in Sharon and Rey’s place to plant thallium in his hair gel as well as his body wash and shaving cream.
Once Sharon hears the news of this poisoning plot, she’ll blame Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) for it. Adam will deny any wrongdoing and will eventually corner Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to hurl accusations. From where Adam’s standing, it’ll seem like Chloe’s setting him up.
That’s partly true since Chloe is indeed helping Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), but it seems somebody else took the lead on the thallium part of this scheme.
Whatever the case, Adam will make a stunning discovery when he opens the door of the penthouse later. Chelsea will move in her wheelchair and prove to Adam that she’s been keeping her recovery progress under wraps.
As you can imagine, Adam won’t be happy about Chelsea’s big secret. He’ll no doubt suspect Chloe and Chelsea have joined forces behind his back. Adam might come up with a vengeful plan of his own, so Chelsea may never see it coming!
Over with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll give Faith a pep talk that comes with some guidance. Phyllis will also meet up with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who’ll call her out.
Although Phyllis will do her best to steer Jack away from Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), Jack won’t think it’s Phyllis’ place to butt in.
Phyllis will still feel like Jack’s playing a dangerous game by getting too close to Sally, so it looks like he’ll invite Phyllis to prove it. Jack will challenge Phyllis and push her buttons with his continued defense of Sally.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will think Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) needs to stop avoiding him and start talking. Jack will feel like it’s plain to see that something’s on Kyle’s mind. After Jack pushes for the truth, will Kyle come clean about Harrison Locke?
It seems like this may be a good opportunity for Kyle to confess and finally get Jack’s advice. Back with Phyllis, she’ll grill Summer about whatever she’s holding back on. Summer could have several different confessions to choose from – like one about her re-engagement to Kyle or a bombshell relating to Harrison.
Since Summer doesn’t seem 100-percent convinced that Harrison is actually Kyle’s son, that could come into play eventually as Summer does more research into the lad’s paternity. Meanwhile, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will lean on Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) for support.
Devon may be looking for a way to fix things with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) after his epic cheating blunder.
Abby will lend a sympathetic ear and offer some advice, so Devon should appreciate her help. Y&R fans will also see Abby gain two more people under her roof. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will move in the Chancellor mansion, so Abby will give them a warm welcome.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), she’ll do some matchmaking. There’s a good chance Victor Newman (Amelia Heinle) will be involved here, but who will Nikki try to pair her daughter up with?
Nate is single now and happens to be the Newman’s go-to doctor. Since there’s been a spark between Nate and Victoria before, Nikki might think she can play Cupid and get a romance going. It would certainly be better than a Victoria and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) reunion in Nikki’s eyes.
Whatever the case, Nikki will carry out a little scheme while Amanda reacts to some surprising updates. Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) will show up reeling over a family crisis – and she’ll plead with Amanda to help fix it.
Amanda will listen to Naya’s troubles and try to figure out if she’s willing to do this favor for her birth mom.
