The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of November 1-5 teases that Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) will beg Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for hideout help while Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) sobs in Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) arms. Things won’t be quite as they seem in the week ahead, so let’s talk about what’s really going on.
For starters, we should address Billy and Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) surprise visitor. They’ll be stunned when Gaines shows up on their doorstep looking rather worse for wear.
Gaines will be out of breath as he insists he isn’t safe and had nowhere else to go. He’ll plead with Billy and Lily to hide him, so Billy may feel like opportunity just knocked!
Of course, Y&R fans will remember that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is planning a trap for Billy – one that involves Gaines becoming useful. What better way to trap Billy than to send the bait right to his door?
Gaines surely wouldn’t be dumb enough to turn to Billy if he had really escaped Victor’s clutches.
Not to mention Victor wouldn’t make the mistake of losing Gaines again – not when there’s so much at stake for Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) and the Newman-Locke merger.
It seems Victor has worked out a deal with Gaines instead, so that should require Gaines playing his part and helping to run a con on Billy.
Since Billy is so consumed by his desire to bring Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) down, he should buy what Gaines sells him and leave ChancComm vulnerable once the trap snaps.
Meanwhile, Nina will return to Genoa City following the news of Chance Chancellor’s (soon-to-be Connor Floyd) presumed death – though it won’t seem real until she reunites with somber Abby.
Nina will break down in tears as she embraces Abby at the Chancellor mansion and faces her grief. Chance actually survived and will make a big comeback down the road, but there’ll be some difficult moments for Abby and Nina until then.
As for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), he’ll meet up with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) at Society.
That’ll lead to a conversation about Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) struggles – particularly the ones he’s been having with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
Nikki will wonder just how much Jack knows and may point out he seems awfully close to Phyllis. However, Jack will no doubt insist he’s just a friend and add that he truly wants Phyllis to work things out with Nick.
Naturally, Jack may be kidding himself here since he’s still madly in love with Phyllis. Deep down, part of Jack may be rooting for Phyllis and Nick’s romance to implode.
Jack will indeed get his chance to reunite with Phyllis sooner or later, but they’ll have to decide if they’re on the same page about a fresh start.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some romantic surprises are brewing in GC, so stay tuned.
CDL will have other hot Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so check back often.
