In tonight’s Walker episode, Liam finds Walker sitting alone, listening to the police scanner. He pretends it’s baseball but Liam knows better. He knows it has been rough since everything that happened with Hoyt dying and more. He challenges him to a day without trying to solve crimes. He hands him a rub cube.
Micki pays Walker a visit at the bar. She vents about her birth mother being a mess and her mom. She doesn’t want to see either of them. Just then, her birth mom comes in. She wants to talk and explain why she disagreed with her life but Micki shoots her down. Meanwhile, Walker’s kids return to school with all of the kids talking about what happened to their family.
Walker sees Micki’s bio mom crying outside of the bar. He talks to her. He wants to help her. She told Micki she was scammed years ago by a woman claiming to be her real daughter. Walker wants to secretly help. It isn’t long before Walker is jumping fences, working the case when he is arrested by police for trespassing as he isn’t a ranger anymore.
Micki shows up at the jail. She is annoyed that Walker has been meddling in her affairs. She leaves him there but the ranger’s secretary gets him out. At the station, Walker gets Micki to talk. Something doesn’t add up. Her mom seems to be telling the truth. He gets Micki to join his mission.
Bonham and Abby see a doctor about his cancer. Micki interviews her biological mom with Walker to question her. At school, Stella is having trouble while August is living it up even after having a moment where he dropped to the ground from a loud bang, bringing him back to gunshots night.
Micki goes to a group meeting undercover where her mother went years back. She hopes to find the person who pretended to be her. Micki’s mom is there. She talks too, shocking Micki with her stories about leaving her daughter behind. At the ranch, Abby tells Bonham he needs treatment. He is refusing.
There is something off about the woman who runs the meetings. Micki goes to lunch with her while Walker goes through Joy’s home. He finds letters and confirmation she is a scammer.
August and Stella get into a fight at school in the AV room. She thinks he is acting like a hero while she is upset Bella is mad at her for not wanting to talk. They realize after their fight was over the loudspeaker and everyone heard them.
Walker attends the group meeting. During the meeting, a number of people come in, accusing Joy of scamming them. Walker set the whole thing up. Joy doesn’t have anywhere to turn as they all confront her.
Micki’s mom attends a meeting right after the bust. She needs to be better for her daughter. Micki has a surprise for Micki, letters her mom wrote years ago that Joy took.
Stella makes up with Bella. They are finally back on track. Micki and her mom also manage to talk and decide to work on their relationship.
Liam makes Bonham face what he needs to do. Bonham talks with Abby. She wants him to get treatment and she wants to renew their vows.
Micki, Liam, and Walker share a drink and talk about life and the bar. He is really going to try. He even hired a cook for the bar.
