Tonight’s episode begins with the family being excited because there is an LP conference coming up in Spokane, Washington, and everyone is excited because there hasn’t been any in three years because of COVID. They talk about the trip, it has been six months since they have seen Joose and he will be there. Anna is ready to see her friends, Amber is trying to make sure that everyone brings what they need. She says that Trent’s suitcase is going to be the heaviest because he changes multiple times again. Amber also reminds Trent about his meds.
Jonah is with his therapist, it is his last session with Dr. Jackson. She asks him how he has been the past week and he says he has more tools and overall peace of mind. He says his anxiety is at a one and a half or a two. She does relaxing exercises with him. He says he uses meditation at night to reflect on his day.
Anna and Elizabeth are at a shop with Emma to get some retail therapy. Elizabeth starts talking about her relationship with Brice, and how they have put on hold moving in together until he is more financially stable.
Anna and Jonah are playing pickleball. They talk and Jonah says he wishes mom was more supportive of him and Ashley. If his parents are not on board it makes it really difficult. He is biding his time for mom to come around. Anna tells him to keep working on it. Anna is very proud of Jonah’s progress.
It’s Sunday morning, Brice spent the weekend at Elizabeth’s place and he is getting ready to go to church with his family. She talks to him about how she spoke to Anna and Emma, and they think he is saving up for something a little different. He says he is saving up because he wants to buy a house with her, in the country with fishing close by.
Jonah is getting his hard permed, the smell is horrible, Emma says it smells like poop. When it is done, Emma says his hair looks like ramen noodles. Jonah walks in the door, he says all he sees is his son’s curly hair and it caught him off guard. Jonah really likes it.
Amber and Trent are in bed and talk about Jonah and how proud they are of the changes that he has made.
Jonah shows his sister the clothes that he wants to bring to the conference, he wants their opinion.
The next morning at 6:30 am Amber gets a text from the contractor, the bathroom is not going to be done before the conference and she is not happy. Trent says he knew going into this, it was going to take a lot of time. The delay is because of a supply shortage.
Jonah does a FaceTime with Ashley to show her his new hair. She rates it a 9.5 out of 10. They talk about the conference and how they are so excited about it. He asks her if they can make go to dinner together when they are there.
