In tonight’s 9-1-1 Lone Star episode, Owen is back! But its not back to normal around the house. Owen has been bringing home random women each night and they could get loud. Matteo couldn’t sleep with all the noise. He tried to talk to Owen about it. He said he knows where the other man is coming from and how seeing his ex happy with the baby at the grand reopening of their station house could be triggering. He just wants Owen to be an adult about it. Owen can get upset. He can lash out. He just needs to stop bringing home random women because it wasn’t safe and no one was getting any sleep. Owen said he would think about it.

Over at the station house, Judd met someone. He met a young man. The teenager’s name is Wyatt and he claims to be Judd’s son. The kid said he was conceived back in 2005. His parents didn’t exchange name and he knows for a fact that he’s Judd’s son. A DNA test proved it. Judd submitted his DNA for an ancestry site and so did the kid. The site said Judd was his father. Wyatt was telling Judd this as Grace came in. Judd introduced Grace to Wyatt. She heard that Wyatt suspects he’s Judd’s son and that Judd doesn’t believe that’s the case. Judd forgot about submitting the DNA. Grace had to remind him that they did around the time they got married.

Wyatt was feeling disheartened. He wanted to walk away and Grace managed to get his phone number before he left. Grace had no reason to be angry with Judd, but she was. She knows that its irrational and that she shouldn’t take it out on Judd. She later asked what are the possibilities that he was that boy’s father and all he could say that it wasn’t zero. He was a different person back then. He wasn’t himself until he met Grace and so there’s no telling if he is father or not. Judd did his best to be there for Grace and she didn’t want him around. She needed some space while she cleared her head.

The team responded to a house fire. They were able to pull out the two parents and unfortunately they couldn’t find the daughter. The daughter was later believed to have been abducted before the fire. She might even have set the fire under the direction of someone. The little girl was missing as this case was handed over to APD. Officer Carlos Reyes was one of the officers on the case. He came to believe that the little girl might have known her abductor. The detective on the case looked into it and they found out that Katie had been talking to someone who called himself Mr. Whispers. He would hack the camera in her room to talk to her. As well as spy on her.

The camera burnt up in the fire. Only the videos were all saved to the cloud. Carlos watched most of those videos to get a rid on the type of person they were looking for and he couldn’t find anything. Mr. Whispers had wormed his way into Katie’s life. He disguised his voice and the parents couldn’t think of anyone who would take her. They also thought Mr. Whispers was an imaginary friend until this happened. Carlos looked through all the videos from the nanny cam. He soon realizes that the only person who calls Katie “Katie-cat” is her former nanny. The same nanny that quit her job to go be with family during the pandemic.

Carlos went to Detective Washington. He told what he found and she told him what they found. Mr. Whispers isn’t a man. They decoded it and it was actually a woman using an app to disguise her voice. Together, the two found that the nanny whose name is Danica Hendry had moved back to Austin two months ago. Around the same time that Mr. Whispers first cropped up and began grooming Katie. Danica’s car was also in the neighborhood during the kidnapping. The police got a warrant on her apartment. They found it empty and they also found the stuffed animal that Katie took with her after she was kidnapped.

The police issued an Amber Alert. Owen saw it while he was on a date with Catherine. Owen joined an upscale dating app called Ascent and the date was going downhill. They both asked for a check before they ordered anything. They were saying goodbye at the car when Owen saw Danica’s car. He jumped into Catherine’s car and she got in as well because she thought he was trying to steal her car. But they ended up in a car chase and they were able to stop Danica. They got her out of the car. She tried to come at them with a knife. Owen got it away from her and Catherine checked on Katie to make sure she was safe.

The date had been a disaster before that happened. After they rescued that girl though, things turned around. They went to grab dinner and Carlos meanwhile reunited Katie with her parents.

Grace also came around to the idea that Judd has a son and she later invited Wyatt’s mother to family dinner so that the adults could all talk.

THE END!
