In tonight’s Alaskan Bush People episode, things pick up right as Noah and his sisters were racing to view a house. It was a race because they were already running late. They spent a lot of time helping some people put up a turbine and that pushed them a few hours back. It also sucks that they had to return to the mainland real quick. They couldn’t risk taking the old boat out onto the open water without getting supplies and so they did that. They then took the boat back out onto the water. They headed towards Petersburg where the property was listed. They even took a short break to put Bird in the water. Bird really missed being her old athletic self.

Bird recently had surgery to remove tumors off of her ovaries. She’s has had serious surgery on her abdomen and she can’t climb onto the boat on her own. She needed a swing that Noah had rigged up. Noah used that swing to dip her into the water. It wasn’t for long. He couldn’t risk the motor for the swing and so Bird didn’t really get to enjoy the water. She touched it then she had to be lifted back up to the boat. But they experienced another delay when the engine died on them. Some water had gotten in. Noah had to go down there and put some diesel in. He also had to change the filter. He was able to get the engine back up and running only by that point they were running really late.

Noah had to tell his sisters to focus on getting to Petersburg. No more detours. No more going for a swim. Bird had asked and he had told her they didn’t have time for it. Only the sisters ended up making a decision together that created problems for their timeframe. The sisters agreed they wouldn’t drive the boat in the dark at night. They didn’t want to risk it on the open water. They agreed to anchor off a cove for the night. They were going to take the boat back out the next morning, but that left them crunch for time and Noah would most likely miss his appointment. And so he was still hoping to go just in case there’s a chance no one else buys the property first.

The homeowners of the house were of the opinion that there should be a first come first serve rule. They told Noah before he even asked for an appointment to view the house. Noah therefore couldn’t really risk other people getting to see the house before he does. The only upside to staying on the water was that Noah got to show off Alaska to his son Eli. The toddler came with them. He got to see Bird bite the heads off of fish for good luck and then used the fish to bait crab. It was delicious crab. Eli enjoyed it. He enjoyed the whole trip. He seemed to be having fun in Alaska and that’s all that Noah wanted for him.

There was also someone coming to join them in Alaska. It was Gabe. Gabe heard what a great time the rest of the family was having in Alaska and he wanted to join. He also was worried about Bird. He wanted to go make sure she was alright with the trip and traveling. He needed to see her for himself. He flew to Peterburg where he heard they were going to be and he arrived just in time. The property they were going to look at had unfortunately been sold to someone else. Noah was a little disappointed at first, but he realized it wasn’t meant to be and his realtor found him another property to look at.

This other property was located on an island. They took the rig as far as she could go before downsizing to the smaller boat and taking that inland. Noah went to go look at the house with Gabe at his side. Noah was told this new property was a fixer upper. But the realtor downplayed it. The house was a small cabin with no other property on shed that Noah could use for work. The kitchen had a bathroom attached to it. There was also a big gaping hole in the middle of the kitchen/bathroom/living room. It would need extensive work to bring it up to code. And Noah didn’t want to be the one to do all that work.

The new property wasn’t for him. Back in Washington, Bear was sharing his family news. Bear and his wife Rhain were expecting another baby. They were going to have their second little boy. They had a gender reveal with Ami. Ami loves babies. She couldn’t wait for another grandchild to spoil. She was just so happy about the new addition that it helped take her mind off of Bird. Bird is going to have to make a decision about whether she wants kids or not and she has to make that decision before the tumors grow back on her ovaries. And so watching Noah with little Eli has reminded her that she needed to hurry up with that decision.

And Bam Bam found out what he could do to grow their own hay on the ranch. He was looking into it because it was expensive to buy the hay for all of their animals and so growing their own would be expensive at first but ultimately worth it.

THE END!
