In tonight’s Blue Blood episode, Archbishop Kearns came first thing in the morning to see Frank. The two are friends. Kearns also saw footage of Frank announcing they captured Stephanie Miller’s killer and unfortunately the police got it wrong. Kearns knows they got it wrong. The real killer confessed to him the murder and he couldn’t say who it was because the seal of confession is sacrosanct. It couldn’t be broken. Not even for this. Kearns tried to get Frank to let the innocent man go and Frank said he couldn’t do that. He needed evidence. Frank told his people about what happened. He also told them that his hands are tied. His people chose to take it from there. They reached out to Danny and Danny agreed to look into it.

But no one cleared it past Danny’s Commanding Officer. He’s the one that had to tell his boss about a top secret case that he couldn’t discuss with anyone and so of course the guy thought his dad was pulling strings when it wasn’t like that at all. It was Gormley who reached out to Danny. Danny said as much as he was told that Gormley should have cleared things through the proper channels. Danny is now in the dog house with his boss. Only he kept looking into the case and he spotted something that no one else did. He noticed that there was a hidden camera inside of a fake fire alarm.

The SD card was missing from the camera. Danny and Baez figured the suspect they have in custody might have been spying on his girlfriend and saw something he didn’t like. They were filling in Gormley as they went along. Gormley was in turn passing on the information to Frank. The other members of Frank’s team found out about this secret investigation and they wanted the details, but Frank was keeping them in the dark. They pretty much had to guess on their own that secret investigation involved Kearns and that it might be church business and Garrett quickly said no good can come from this case.

Another case that was only going to lead to heartache was Eddie’s case. She and her partner were called to the scene of a rape and they managed to arrest the rapist after he returned to the victim’s apartment. But the guy was later released. The District Attorney’s office wasn’t going to pursue the case because they didn’t have enough to take to trial or get a conviction. It was a classic he said/she said. Even Erin agreed that there wasn’t much of a case. Eddie tried to talk to Erin on her own and after that didn’t work she then surprised Erin with the victim. She wanted Erin to hear the victim’s case for herself to decide if it was worthy or not.

The victim sounded plausible. Also meeting the victim in person was enough for Erin to ask Anthony to look into their rape suspect. It turns out the guy has been accused of rape once before and he had to be fired from his company. The guy is a lawyer. He preyed on women who were just starting out in their field and who didn’t want to make waves, but he made a mistake with the latest victim because she went to the cops. She reported her rape. The first victim was contacted and they talked her into filing charges. With both women now pressing charges, Erin can make a case for a serial rapist and that finally appeased Eddie.

Eddie hadn’t liked it when she learned the case wasn’t going to trial at first. She fought for the victim and she pushed boundaries with Erin, but ultimately it was going to bring the women their justice and that’s the important thing. Erin and Eddie weren’t the only Reagans working together. Jamie and Joe were working together on a case. Jamie arrested a man that was being followed by a joint task force that Joe was on and so Joe wanted Jamie to hand over the suspect to him and Jamie couldn’t do that. Jamie didn’t like the methods that Joe was employing. He felt it was too underhanded to threaten a man’s life to make him turn evidence on a drug dealer.

So, Jamie protected the guy. He got the guy to flip by simply being kind to him and the perp wanted Jamie to be there when he made a buy for the drugs. Everything was going well it wasn’t. Someone the drug dealers got their hands on Manny’s family and so Jamie and Joe had to later rescue them while Manny was rushed to the hospital. And later the family members gathered together to play poker with each other and by then all bad blood was gone.

Danny even solved Frank’s case for him. Kearn had been right and Lamar White was innocent. The real killer was some stalker who decided to go from Peeping Tom to rapist when he ended up killing the woman. And so now the real perp is under arrest.

THE END!
