Bull has knowledge of a serial killer. This serial killer once released carbon monoxide in his own building just to kill one person and he ended up killing six people. The killer did that because his intended victim knew about a previous victim. He knew about a woman that was killed years before the apartment building massacre. Her body was dumped in the woods. Her family was still looking for her and Bull just couldn’t live with the knowledge he couldn’t do anything about it. Bull went running to Danny. He knocked on her door late at night. He woke up the neighbor, but Bull didn’t care because he reached out to Danny for help and she agreed to do all she could once she found out the story. Danny borrowed a machine that could find something buried in the ground.

Danny and Bull took the machines to the woods where the serial killer bragged about leaving her body. They went looking and they found something. They weren’t sure what. But they felt it was the missing girl’s body. The girl has been reported missing for the past eleven years. Her family is still looking for her and Bull couldn’t let them go on without answers. He wanted to get the serial killer. He wanted to get Ed. Ed was currently on trial for the apartment building thing and Bull tried to maneuver it into a mistrial. It would have worked if Ed hadn’t figured out what he was doing. Ed managed to turn the whole thing into an advantage for him.

Ed even got to the jury. He’s been one step ahead the entire time and Bull didn’t know how to take him down. He tried talking to Chunk. He got Chunk’s advice. But Chunk said his hands were tied. He was still Ed’s lawyer. He couldn’t break confidentiality. He just told Bull that Kristi might prove useful and then he went on a long walk that he knew would take up his time. It also gave Bull and Danny the chance to track down Kristi. Kristi was the only one who knew Ed was a dangerous man. She had evidence. If she went to the police, they would keep digging into Ed. They would find out Ed’s other crimes. They would find the missing girl. They would take down a serial killer. It was just too good to pass on.

Bull tracked down Kristi. He found her at an AA meeting. She was trying to get sober again and so she passed on going to the police. She said she couldn’t go through a trial or have to be questioned. She was merely too fragile for it right now. Kristi was a lost cause. Bull eventually realized it and he was trying to figure out what to do next when Taylor saved the day. Taylor managed to convince some treasure hunters to go looking in the burial spot. They had no connection to Ed. They dug up the body. And so the team assumed that the body would be covered in DNA.

But they were wrong. Ed doused the body in a chemical agent. There was no DNA. There was no way to prove who the body was or who killed her and so that made Bull snap. Bull realized there was no way to take down Ed while keeping his hands clean. The only thing he could do was to tank the current trial personally. Bull went running to the jury. He announced to them that Ed was guilty. That Ed did kill those people. This forced the judge to declare a mistrial and Bull was personally sanctioned. He could never return to any courtroom for the rest of his life. Bull could have fought the charges only he chose not to.

The bull was going to accept the sanctions. He didn’t want to go back to the courtroom. He was fine if he stayed out of things and sure that affected TAC. It made Bull unable to help as he’s always done. But Bull was fine with that. The bull was stepping down from TAC. His ban was what convinced him. Ed was what convinced him. Given the chance again, he wouldn’t change a thing. He helped catch a killer. The bull was done at TAC. Marissa was going to buy him out and she was going to keep the company running as it always had. Everyone else agreed to stay on. All except Taylor. Taylor’s son was recently diagnosed with ADHD. He was going to need a lot more time and attention than Taylor can provide for her.

Hence she was moving to Hawaii. Her son’s father lives there. His grandparents live there. It was going to be great for her son and that’s what matters. But everyone else was staying on. They’ll miss their old team but they were happy to still have TAC. There was also more good news. Kristi had a change of mind after she heard about Bull’s bravery in court. She came forward with what she knew and now the authorities were going to go after Ed for everything he did. Not just some of it. And Chunk made up with his ex, the ADA on Ed’s case.

And so it was a nice goodbye. Bull had its series finale and no one was hurt. No one died. Everyone was going on with their lives and living happily.

THE END
