Tonight’s Chicago Med episode begins with Ethan, he is doing laps in a pool and has a hard time getting out. When he goes to leave the gym he bumps into Daniel who says he heard his last surgery was a big success. Ethan gets a call from Felicia, his dad’s in-home nurse and he has to go there, Daniel offers to drive him.

Stevie is with Will, she is frustrated about her divorce then gets called to a treatment room. Lisa Backman, she is pregnant and collapsed on the floor, her husband called 911. Stevie tells her the are going to do an ultrasound, just as her husband Jonah walks in. Stevie tells her that the baby is breach, and her husband adds that she is anemic. Then they find out that she no longer has her OBGYN because she refused to get vaccinated. Lisa is reluctant to get tests done but gives in and shouts at her husband for telling the staff too much.

Crockett and Pamela are walking through the halls and he asks her if she is going to the fundraiser that night, the hospital wants to parade around their stars. He asks her to go for a drink first, she tells him she won’t find the time. They go in to see a patient named Dorothy, she is going for liver transplant and when Crockett looks at her feet, he sees that she burned them and she says she put them too close to the heater the other night. Crockett and Pamela go talk, the infection is going to cause them to postpone the surgery, it’s too dangerous, the liver will go to another recipient. Dorothy’s son tells them that he wants them to take the risk, his mother has waited a year. Her son starts to act beligerant and Crockett tells him to walk away before he calls security.

Sharon is called into a room, there is a problem with Jonah Backman, his lawyer wants him to have all decisions for his wife and their baby. Stevie says that this is an overstep, there is nothing wrong with Lisa, it is just her decision making that is a problem for her husband.

Dylan tries to visit his young patient, Darius, but his father, Terrell, tells him to stay away from his family. His mother, Carmen, thanks Dylan and says she is sorry about how Terrell is acting, he is just upset about the arrest but he shouldn’t have been hanging out with those guys. Dylan says he didn’t do well by her as well, she says she has to go.

Ethan is speaking to his dad’s in-home nurse, he was difficult to rouse and she thought that he maybe had a stroke, he refuses to see a doctor and was upset that she called him. Ethans father comes out of the room, Will introduces Daniel. Ethan checks out his dad to see if he is ok. Ethan wants to take him to the hospital to do a couple of tests, his father refuses.

Stevie is with Lisa and Will, the baby’s heart rate is dipping, the placenta is separating, they suggest an emergency ultrasound. Lisa wants to have a home birth, they tell her it is too dangerous. Will tells her that maybe she should speak to her husband, she doesn’t want to. She asks if she needs a transfusion, can they guarantee that the donor will be unvaccinated. Will says they don’t screen for that. She tells them that there is no way she is putting that poison in her body, she refuses to get a transfusion no matter what.

Ethan and Daniel are leaving his dad’s house when the nurse comes out and calls them back, his father passed out, he is laying on the ground. Daniel calls an ambulance.

Maggie notices a look when Terrell gives Carmen and she asks him about it. He says they used to go together way back when and he wasn’t good to her, but he has changed since then.

Crockett asks Pamela what is going on, he thinks she is mad at him. She tells him that she can fight her own battles and buy her own drinks.

Jonah is in the waiting room, Stevie walks in and he tries to get info from her but she tells him that she can’t reveal anything, she is sorry.

Lisa and the baby are in distress. Will tells her that they need her permission to do a c-section she gives in but says again that she doesn’t want a blood transfusion.

Crockett is watching the liver transplant from the upper deck when he sees all the physicians, one by one, pass out. There is some kind of gas in the room. Crockett forces his way into the operating room and pulls Pamela out first, then others help take the other physicians out, the entire transplant team was poisoned.

Carmen is back in the hospital, he son is not well, he has a fever. Terrell checks him and says his lungs sound junky. A quick xray, Darius has a pneumonia.

Ethan is looking at the scan of his dad’s head, he has a brain tumour and it has spread – the doctor tells Ethan that he discussed surgery months ago with his dad but he refused.

Lisa gave birth a baby girl, she tells Will that she wants Jonah to see the baby. Will hears something and goes to listen to the baby’s breathing, there is a slight irregularity and they want to do some observation.

Ethan is at his dad’s home, he is released from the hospital. Ethan asks him why he didn’t tell him, he could have helped. His father tells him to go put the snow tires on the car and gets angry when Ethan says he can do it another day.

Darius is getting the oxygen he needs, he is doing better. Carmen goes outside and starts crying, she tells Terrell to take care of her baby and hugs him. Just then, her husband walks in and he is furious when he sees the two in each others arms.

Lisa is hemmoraging, they don’t have a pulse, Will says they need to take her into the OR, but they need her heart beating first. Jonah asks why they aren’t giving her blood, they say they can’t, Lisa forbade it. Lisa is dead, right in front of Jonah.

Jonah says he left home for work for a month and when he returned Lisa was different, she was into all that conspiracy stuff. Stevie tells him that he tried, he can’t blame himself.

Crockett goes to see Pamela, she tells him to come in the room and keep her company. She says she doesn’t think she will make it to the gala, he says he thinks he is going to skip it as well. She asks him to take her home, he says absolutely.

Will is dressed for gala, Stevie tells him that she booked a flight for tonight, she wants to finalize her divorce for her own well being.

Daniel is with Ethan, they are at the garage getting the tired put on his dad’s car. Ethan gets a call, his dad just passed away, Ethan tells Daniel, he didn’t want him to see him die.
