Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) may impersonate Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) to help Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), so will she find Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) mask stash? Things are about to get tricky, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
DOOL fans know Kristen threw Gwen and Ava together as reluctant allies, but they’ve actually become decent friends.
Ava seems to think of herself as someone who can mentor Gwen in her own twisted way and talk Gwen off the ledge when she panics.
Gwen and Ava have been commiserating about their problems lately, so Ava may step up to help Gwen solve hers.
What Gwen needs is a way to convince Xander that Sarah is fine and still wants nothing to do with him. Ava just might be able to come through for Gwen on that.
On January 19, Days spoilers say Kristen will face off with Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) in Italy while a familiar face surprises Gwen back in Salem.
The next day, Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will reel over Sarah’s return – or at least what seems to be Sarah’s return – to town.
Since Kristen will still be in Italy at that point, she won’t be available for mask wearing.
It seems likely that Gwen will open her door and flip out at the sight of Sarah – only to realize it’s actually Ava in disguise.
Then, Xander can come back to the hotel suite and face this Sarah shocker.
While posing as Sarah, Ava can tell Xander she’s sorry about how things went down, but it was all for the best.
Ava can make up some bogus story about finding herself and knowing a future with Xander isn’t what she wants.
Of course, “Sarah” can also push Xander to live happily ever after with Gwen since he’s so clearly in love. She can essentially give her blessing and leave everybody satisfied.
On the other hand, Ava could take things in a more bitter direction if need be and let Xander know they’re never, ever getting back together!
Regardless, the point is Ava can fix this by wearing a Sarah mask along with the voice changer Kristen previously used.
“Sarah” can tell Xander what he needs to hear, though we should note there could be a little snag along the way.
Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) will close in on the impersonation truth, but we’d say the news of Kristen’s capture will come just before she unmasks “Sarah.”
Steve may call or even bring Kristen into custody and leave Abigail thinking this must be the real Sarah then!
It’s going to be a pretty intricate Days storyline, but all the puzzle pieces line up for this to happen so far.
That should take care of Gwen’s Sarah issues for now and lead to Xander’s imminent marriage proposal. .
