Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) takes a paternity test. The results confirm that Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) is the father. Shawn won’t be able to turn his back on his own flesh and blood. Shawn could decide to take custody since Jan’s in prison. That means Belle Brady (Martha Madison) will have to make the toughest decision of her life.
Jan Spears’ Paternity Test
DOOL spoilers reveal that during the week of April 4, Shawn learns about Jan’s pregnancy. Belle thinks it’s just another wild scheme to destroy their marriage.
That is when Shawn makes a bombshell confession to his wife. Shawn admits that there is a possibility he could be the father.
Apparently, something did happen beneath the sheets before Belle walked in on Shawn and Jan.
Even though Belle knows Shawn was a victim of Jan and the devil’s scheme, the attorney also feels betrayed.
The couple decides that they can’t move forward until they know for sure if the baby belongs to Shawn.
Jan will take a paternity test. Shawn and Belle both reel over the results. It is confirmed that the tests indicate Shawn is the father of Jan’s unborn child.
DOOL Spoilers: Early Release Denied?
Jan is probably hoping that she can use the baby to get released early from prison. Even though anything is possible in Salem, Jan might not get her wish.
Jan likely doesn’t care about the baby at all. After all, she is a sociopath with a destructive history of hurting anyone who gets in her way.
Shawn Brady’s Custody Decision
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest Jan could come up with another way to destroy Shawn and Belle’s love. Jan could pressure Shawn to take custody of the baby.
Jan knows that each time Belle looked at that child, it would remind her of the betrayal.
Even though Shawn doesn’t want to have this baby with Jan, he has a moral compass.
Shawn is also a family man and realizes the child is innocent. Shawn might not be able to turn his back on his own flesh and blood.
Of course, Belle will completely freak out over this notion. There is no way Belle will want to raise Jan’s baby.
Belle might not be able to even look at the child without feeling disgust and contempt.
Belle could also reason that any offspring of Jan’s would be evil. Of course, half that baby’s DNA is from Shawn, who is good.
At least, this is probably what Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will say if she is asked. So, Shawn might hope that the child will turn out to be more good than evil.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Belle Brady’s Future
It is teased that the baby will cause a major shakeup to “Shelle.” The couple’s marriage will be quite rocky, and they might even separate.
Belle will turn to EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) for support. However, there isn’t much EJ can do to help Belle while he’s in prison.
However, Shawn and Belle are endgame. Despite being torn apart repeatedly over the years, they always end up back together.
So, if Shawn takes custody, will Belle be able to raise Jan’s baby? Let’s hope that this is all just a terrible nightmare or another one of the devil’s illusions.
