Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) may decide on a gender reveal cake. Will they turn to Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) for help sharing this baby secret?
DOOL fans know that Ciara and Ben couldn’t bring themselves to look at the envelope, which contained the sonogram and proof of their baby’s gender.
They ultimately gave Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) the envelope for safekeeping – just in case either of them was tempted to sneak a peek.
However, Ciara also mentioned that they were going to paint the nursery a gender-neutral color and let their child choose pronouns when they were old enough.
Ben and Ciara are taking a progressive approach to parenting, but that doesn’t mean the desire to know the gender has gone away.
After all, Ciara and Ben previously discussed having a son or daughter.
It’s not like they’ve avoided talking about whether this baby is a boy or a girl, so they could decide to learn the gender after all.
Despite those gender-neutral nursery plans, it wouldn’t hurt to have a traditional gender reveal cake now – one that’s pink or blue inside to offer confirmation.
That’s something for the parents-to-be anyway and wouldn’t affect their unborn child.
It’d just be a fun way to find out what Ciara’s having and ultimately announce it.
During the week of March 21-25, Days spoilers say Ben and Ciara will indeed call on Chanel and Allie for help.
They’ll be looking for a favor that relates to their baby, so it’s reasonable to assume that could be a gender reveal cake.
Of course, it’s also possible this will involve cupcakes for a baby shower or some other baby-related event.
Nevertheless, it seems like a baby shower would be planned by someone else – and it’s typically more about the expectant mom than the dad.
The fact that Ben will be involved here suggests it’s something that’ll affect him, too.
A gender reveal cake just makes the most sense under the circumstances – especially since Days viewers still don’t know the gender just yet.
This is a good way to incorporate Sweet Bits into the story and set up an exciting revelation, so we’ll see if that’s the favor Ciara and Ben ask for.
