Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will sob to Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) over his Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) grief, so these brothers will come together in heartbreak.
DOOL fans know there’s been plenty of tension between Jake and the rest of the DiMera clan. Jake has never been treated like a real member of the family, but he’ll still show up when it counts.
After the news about Abigail’s death starts to spread, Jake will check in with Chad and see how he’s holding up. Of course, Chad won’t be doing well at all in the aftermath of his beloved wife’s demise.
We’ve seen Chad grieve for Abigail before when she was presumed dead in a plane crash, so that offered a little taste of what his devastation will look like. However, it’ll be far worse this time since Chad will have a mental image of a murdered Abigail burned into his brain.
The loss will still be awfully fresh when Jake visits, so that’ll bring a moment of crushing vulnerability. Days spoilers say Chad will break down in tears and cry in Jake’s arms.
There’ll be some heartfelt, emotional scenes where Jake comforts Chad like a real brother. All the corporate drama and other issues of the past won’t matter – at least not while Chad needs support.
Jake will want Chad to know he’s not alone and will hope to do whatever he can to help. Chad will appreciate that, even if all he can do is weep right now.
Naturally, we can’t rule out a twist that makes Jake a murder suspect eventually. Days has set up a few potential culprits, but more will be revealed as this storyline moves along – including some surprising ones that may not make sense until DOOL writers dive a bit deeper.
It’d be interesting to see Jake become a suspect – or perhaps he could start to suspect Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) somewhere down the line. Regardless, this whodunit is going to get messy!
In the meantime, Jake will console Chad and offer some hope for these brothers to have a real bond. Times of tragedy often bring families together, so that’ll be the case for Jake and devastated Chad.
