Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that a Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) and Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) baby swap could be brewing. Will the devil use this trick to steal the Brady-Weston child he wants?
Ciara’s baby was conceived in October while Jan’s pregnancy began in December.
That’s a reasonable window of time for Days to work with and still make a baby switch happen.
In fact, Jan’s baby bump was awfully large in the promo that confirmed she was carrying Shawn Brady’s (Brandon Beemer) child.
It could be an indication that DOOL has sped Jan’s pregnancy up a bit.
That’s quite common when it comes to soap pregnancies, so fans should just roll with it!
Regardless, we can’t ignore the pattern that Days tends to follow. When two women are pregnant at the same time, it often leads to a baby swap.
There’s an especially good reason for a switch since the devil is targeting Ben and Ciara’s bun in the oven.
If Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) or whatever character is possessed by then simply steals the baby outright, Ciara and Ben will stop at nothing to get him or her back.
It’d be better for the devil to manipulate Ben and Ciara into thinking their baby is perfectly safe at home.
There’s going to be a chaotic cabin birth, but Ciara should eventually be taken to the hospital with her little one.
If Jan goes into labor at the same time, the devil may use the situation to his advantage.
We know he wants Ciara and Ben’s baby specifically – not any other baby. The show’s been very clear about that.
As a result, perhaps Johnny or the next possession victim will convince Jan to see things his way.
It’s easy to imagine the devil arguing that Jan will be completely shut out of this child’s life.
Why would Jan want to hand her baby over to Shawn and Belle Brady (Martha Madison) while she goes to back to prison?
Jan may get on board with pretending her newborn is dead – and the devil can back that up with one of his illusions.
In reality, Jan’s baby may be given to Ciara while the devil steals the “Cin” child he desires.
The devil may swap out the babies so that Ben and Ciara are happily raising Jan’s kid – all while Johnny or another possession victim is caring for their true child elsewhere.
