Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that a Clyde Weston (James Read) cellmate shocker will enrage EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), so a deadly shooting grudge will bring a showdown. EJ won’t find a warm welcome waiting for him as he kicks off his prison stint at Statesville, so let’s discuss all the Days drama.
The details were complicated, but Clyde was responsible for EJ’s “death” and so many of his struggles since then.
When EJ realizes Clyde is his new roomie, he certainly won’t be happy about it!
Clyde wound up turning a DiMera henchman against EJ, so that led to the traitor shooting and killing him – at least until Kristen DiMera (now played by Stacy Haiduk) came along and injected her brother with Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (William Utay) back-from-the-dead serum.
DOOL fans know EJ faced a lengthy recovery with plenty of setbacks, but it all started with Clyde’s fatal plans for him.
That’s why EJ’s going to hold a major grudge and clash with Clyde right off the bat.
Clyde won’t exactly be thrilled to see EJ either, though he may enjoy taunting him for his own entertainment.
Days spoilers say there’ll be escalating hostility in the slammer, so that could bring trouble if EJ and Clyde get violent with each other.
EJ could add to his sentence if he’s not careful, so that’s something he’ll need to keep in mind.
Unfortunately, EJ has never been great about controlling his hot tempter.
Clyde is also a master at pushing buttons, so he’ll be thrown into quite a pressure cooker with EJ.
Of course, there’s the potential for EJ and Clyde to get to know each other a little better as time goes on.
They’ll be forced to hang out whether they like it or not, so Clyde and EJ might as well make the best of it.
EJ was wrongfully convicted of kidnapping Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney), so maybe he can tell Clyde all about that.
Clyde might have some vengeful ideas and even tempt EJ with an escape plot since we know Clyde’s made prison getaways before.
Regardless, it’ll be fun to see Clyde and EJ’s first faceoff along with the growing tension and whatever this cellmate situation leads to next.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say James Read should return right around the February 21 episode, so Clyde will be part of the action once the show returns following the Winter Olympics.
