Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will go rogue on the witness stand, so Belle Brady’s (Martha Madison) legal advice will be ignored. As a result, EJ’s shady Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) history could come back to haunt and make Belle’s job harder as she fights to prove his innocence.
DOOL fans know Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) is the one who kidnapped Sami out of desperation. Lucas wasn’t thinking clearly at the time and didn’t even have a real grasp on his game plan. He just knew he couldn’t stand the idea of Sami crawling back to EJ once again.
As far as Lucas is concerned, Sami’s relationship with EJ is toxic and needs to end for good. When Lucas is on the witness stand during this trial, he’s bound to trash EJ as a horrible match for Sami and someone capable of anything.
EJ will fume over Lucas’ comments in the courtroom, especially since he strongly suspects Lucas is to blame for all this. Although EJ can’t prove his accusations, he’s convinced Lucas framed him for Sami’s abduction and is taking great pleasure in his legal nightmare now.
Between Lucas’ damaging testimony and Chad DiMera’s (Billy Flynn) failed attempt to confess the truth, EJ will land in dreadfully hot water. He’ll feel like he needs a way to climb out of the hole everyone keeps digging for him, so he’ll insist on taking the stand and defending himself.
Days spoilers say Belle will do her best to talk EJ out of this risky move. She’ll worry about EJ’s temper as well as the possibility of DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) ripping him to shreds over his terrible past.
EJ has a list of mistakes a mile long – many of them involving his relationship with Sami and many of them proving he’s the kind of guy who might kidnap his former flame for revenge. DA Trask could chew EJ up and spit him out, so Belle’s understandably going to be wary.
Nevertheless, Days spoilers say EJ will feel like he needs to get on the stand and tell his side of the story. He’ll believe he can make a compelling case for his innocence and hopefully make himself a more sympathetic character in court.
Of course, there’s the potential for Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) to sway the outcome or at least have some fun before the verdict comes down! Regardless, Belle will face her toughest case yet and hope for the best after EJ ignores her guidance.
