Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, April 22, reveals that Baby Bo Brady was chosen as Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) named him after her father. Clyde Weston (James Read) also offered EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) a drug partnership, so let’s talk about some important DOOL moments.
At home, Clyde brought some blue balloons and interrupted Ciara’s romantic time on the sofa with Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).
Clyde hoped they might name the baby after him, but Ben and Ciara gently rejected the idea.
After Clyde realized Ciara and Ben wanted some alone time, he headed out. That left Ben and Ciara to talk baby names on their own.
Ben brought up how they both had dreams where they named their son after Bo Brady (Peter Reckell).
Ciara really wanted to name the baby after her father, but she was afraid of hurting Clyde’s feelings.
Ben acted like it wouldn’t be a big deal, so they settled on “Bo Something Weston” – with the “something” to be determined later.
At home, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) tried to call TR Coates (William Christian) since he was supposed to help her with the twins, who were crying like crazy.
TR didn’t answer since he was passed out after shooting himself up with drugs.
Abe Carver (James Reynolds) stopped by and learned TR had bailed on Paulina, so he stuck around to help.
That led to a warm moment as well as a passionate kiss, but Abe pulled away and just couldn’t open himself up to more heartbreak.
At the hospital on Friday’s Days episode, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) informed Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) that there’d been no change in Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) condition, but he urged her to stay optimistic.
Abe also stopped by later with a milkshake and a pep talk for Lani.
At the DiMera mansion, Beth Howard (Donielle Artese) showed up looking for Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), so EJ answered the door and explained that Johnny had returned to Italy for some soul-searching.
Beth arrived at TR’s hotel room next and quickly realized he was as high as a kite. Beth ranted about the possibility of the investors pulling out if Johnny didn’t return.
TR acted like he could just use Paulina’s money to finance the possession flick once he married her.
If Paulina had a problem with that, TR suggested he could take care of it like he took care of Lani’s cop husband.
That confirmed Beth’s suspicions about TR shooting Eli, but he bellowed for her to keep her mouth shut.
TR realized he was hours late for meeting up with Paulina, so he got ready in a hurry while Beth took off for the hospital.
Once Beth came in in Eli’s room with flowers, she talked to Abe briefly and explained her role in the possession movie.
Beth then turned her attention to Lani and admitted she had something to tell her.
After TR finally made it to Paulina’s place, he made excuses for his tardiness and found out she humiliated herself with Abe.
TR could understand wanting a second chance and hoped to prove himself to Paulina, so he pulled her into a steamy kiss.
In the DiMera crypt on Friday’s Days episode, Johnny was relieved when Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) seemingly showed up to save him.
Unfortunately, possessed Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) laughed since it was just her illusion in the end.
Allie insisted that Chanel hated Johnny’s guts now and gagged him before making a call to Chanel’s phone.
Using the devil’s typical trickery, Allie made it sound like the call came from a cruel Johnny, who taunted Chanel over not having to pay alimony and rubbed it in about Allie dumping her.
Allie then waved her hand to create a projection of what was happening between Chanel and Tripp at the hospital.
After Tripp and Chanel exchanged apologies, he found out Allie had dumped her. They decided to go out for drinks together since Tripp just got off duty.
Johnny was miserable as he watched Chanel and Tripp downing shots.
Once Tripp and Chanel were drunk, they shared a kiss and left Johnny even more frustrated.
Back at the DiMera mansion, Clyde arrived and helped himself to a drink in the living room.
Clyde tried to sell EJ on the idea of bankrolling a new drug operation and becoming his silent partner.
EJ wasn’t interested in helping Clyde run drugs or forming any other partnership.
However, EJ agreed to keep quiet about Clyde ordering his shooting for now, so Clyde settled in on the couch to watch some sports.
At Ben and Ciara’s place, Allie showed up claiming to have a relaxing tea that she liked when she was pregnant.
Ciara happily accepted a cup and was ready for bed soon after, so Ben took her to their room.
That gave Allie a chance to pull out a vial and use it to drug Ben’s own cup of tea.
When Ben returned, Allie insisted that he’d love the way it made him feel!
