Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, April 8, reveals that Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) stabbed Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) for a bloody farewell letter while Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) shattered Chanel Dupree’s (Raven Bowens) heart. Here’s how all the DOOL drama played out.
First on Friday’s Days episode, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) was surprised to find out Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) invited Clyde Weston (James Read) to the baby gender reveal party.
Ciara admitted she didn’t want to hurt Clyde’s feelings – though Ben’s dad was obviously trying way too hard to prove himself.
Ben assured Ciara that he’d talk to Clyde about backing off.
Meanwhile, Clyde feared EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerreigel) was about to pull a gun on him.
Instead, EJ pulled out his checkbook and wanted to set Clyde up with enough money for a new life elsewhere.
EJ insisted the DiMera jet was waiting to take Clyde wherever he wanted to go.
When Ben walked in on the tense moment, Clyde covered by claiming EJ was offering him a job.
Clyde declined and sent EJ on his way, but Ben seemed skeptical about Clyde’s story.
Ben also followed through on his promise to try and convince Clyde to back off.
Ben admitted they had enough problems with the devil after their baby, but Clyde wouldn’t bet against a fierce mom like Ciara!
At home, Belle Brady (Martha Madison) refused to let Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) touch her and wasn’t sure they could get past the fact that Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) was having his baby.
Shawn pointed out that he didn’t know he was sleeping with Jan at the time – unlike Belle, who knew exactly who she was sleeping with when she cheated with Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson).
Belle was upset over Shawn throwing that in her face, but Shawn was only trying to earn the same forgiveness he extended to her.
However, Belle struggled with the idea of Jan being permanently tied to Shawn through their child.
When Ciara interrupted, Belle took off – leaving Shawn to explain the baby drama details to his sister.
Ciara offered a pep talk, but Shawn seemed concerned about who Belle would end up confiding in.
Meanwhile, Belle drowned her sorrows at the pub before EJ showed up.
EJ found out about the paternity test results and how Shawn reminded Belle of her own decade-old cheating transgression.
After EJ suggested that probably wasn’t the wisest decision, he joined Belle and refused to let her drink alone.
Outside the DiMera crypt, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) was about to go inside when Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) showed up and spooked her.
Abigail explained that she was looking for Allie, but Chad struggled to make sense of why she would be in the crypt.
Chad assured Abigail that he’d help her look anyway, but Abigail got a phone call and relayed the news that Allie was found safe.
As for Allie, she hugged a relieved Chanel and claimed she just needed some alone time to think.
Allie told Chanel that she drove all night after her confrontation with Johnny.
Allie acted like she reached the conclusion that it was a mistake to rush into this relationship with Chanel.
Allie argued that it was hurting her relationships with Johnny and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams).
Allie implied that she cared more about them than Chanel and confirmed this wasn’t about second-guessing her sexuality.
As for the bakery, Allie was sure Chanel could find someone to replace her.
Allie spelled out all the reasons why she shouldn’t be romantically involved with Chanel and proceeded to break her heart.
Chanel couldn’t understand this sudden change in Allie and thought she sounded just like Johnny when he dumped her.
It was like talking to the same person! Allie insisted it was over, so Chanel ultimately walked out and sobbed in the hallway.
Back with possessed Allie on Friday’s Days episode, she hoped that was taken care of since she wanted to focus on Ben and Ciara’s baby.
In the DiMera crypt, Andre’s ghost appeared to Johnny and revealed that he was an indentured servant from hell.
Andre taunted Johnny a bit and read aloud a fake farewell letter that would convince everyone Johnny left for Italy for self-reflection.
When Johnny refused to sign the letter, Andre stabbed him in the neck with the pen and signed it for him.
Andre felt no one would doubt the authenticity with Johnny’s signature written in blood.
Later, Chad was surprised when he found that letter sitting below Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) portrait in the DiMera living room.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Johnny will remain stuck for a while, so the devil will wreak havoc through Allie in the meantime!
