Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, December 16, reveals that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) admitted Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) wanted to kick Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) out of the house. According to John, Marlena thought Kristen was a bad person who was manipulating Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).
However, John claimed he disagreed with Marlena and remembered Kristen’s past as a social worker.
After John lied about seeing the Kristen he fell in love with all those years ago, he suggested Marlena just needed to see her as a good mother and a good person, too.
Kristen finally admitted she didn’t think she was a good person, so John promised no judgment and wondered what she did.
These DOOL scenes were John’s effort to pry a confession out of Kristen.
Outside the church on Friday’s Days episode, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) hoped Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) was alive since Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) survived the crash.
Ava revealed she jumped out of the car before it exploded with Susan inside.
Johnny flew into a rage over Susan’s death and no longer sided with Ava about defrauding his family.
Ava ended up revealing that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) kidnapped Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams), so that threw Johnny for a loop.
Even so, Johnny pointed out that Tripp was fine, but Grandma Susan was dead.
While Johnny was confronting Ava, Tripp showed up at Susan’s memorial service to confront EJ since he was the “son of a bitch” who killed his mom.
Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) tried to settle Tripp down, but he didn’t want to hear from the tramp who slept with Ava’s boyfriend behind her back.
EJ ordered Tripp to get out, but he refused to leave – even after Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) worked to intervene in the situation.
Sister Mary Moira Banks (Stacy Haiduk) eventually found Johnny and Ava in the middle of their confrontation.
When Ava learned Tripp was there, she panicked and ran inside the church.
Tripp was stunned and relieved to see Ava alive, but she warned that they had to get out now. EJ refused to let Ava leave and wanted to call the cops.
Ava finally blurted out that there was a bomb and unveiled it under the tablecloth. Once Ava shouted for Tripp to run, the bomb exploded on Friday’s Days episode.
At DiMera Enterprises, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) helped Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) handle a shipment crisis and recalled how she was supposed to see her favorite opera with Brady in New York tonight – that is until they broke up.
Stefan comforted Chloe before they made plans to attend Susan’s memorial service together and took off.
In the town square, Brady got updates on Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughn) split from Nicole since he blamed her for Jada Hunter’s (Elia Cantu) abortion.
Brady also got the news about Nicole showing up at Sloan Petersen’s (Jessica Serfaty) place after Eric slept with her.
Since Brady seemed concerned about that, Eric warned that he had no business judging when he was shacking up with Kristen.
Brady tried to insist it wasn’t like that before Stefan appeared with Chloe.
Stefan taunted Brady over the missed opera and how he really blew it by throwing Chloe away.
Once Stefan said Chloe was with a real man now, Brady punched him in the face.
Stefan fumed in the aftermath and threatened to call the cops, so Brady whipped out his phone and urged him to go ahead.
Since Chloe just wanted to leave, Stefan let Brady off the hook.
Stefan had blood on his shirt, so he decided to skip the memorial and just head to the reception with Chloe.
The two of them waited on the others in the DiMera living room and grew confused over how long the service was taking.
Back with Eric on Friday’s Days episode, he wondered why Brady gave Chloe up if he loved her so much.
Eric pushed for the truth, so Brady confessed that Kristen blackmailed him to break up with Chloe and move Kristen in.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Eric will try to help Brady out of his jam soon, so stay tuned to DOOL!
