Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, December 9, reveals that Bonnie Kiriakis (Judi Evans) accused kidnapper Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) after Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) was attacked. Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) also worked on a fake contract for Xander, so here’s how all the Days action played out.
At the Horton house on Friday’s DOOL episode, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) made a pitch to be a new gossip columnist at The Spectator, so Gwen agreed to run the idea by Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford).
There was also talk about Leo trying to be friends with Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker), so Gwen called him out for blushing and thought he was smitten.
Gwen admitted she was also trying friendship with Xander, who had a big secret he could tell her and not Sarah Cook (Linsey Godfrey).
In the town square, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) met up with Sonny to celebrate his first day back at Titan.
After Chad said it was also his last day working for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), he came clean about his feelings for her.
However, Chad hoped that distance would make those feelings go away.
Since Chad wasn’t ready to move on from Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and Stephanie was interested in Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), he thought it’d all work out for the best.
Sonny also brought up his relationship issues with Will Horton (Chandler Massey), who wasn’t coming home for Christmas and wasn’t happy about Leo answering the phone.
Chad disapproved of Sonny bonding with Leo, but Sonny defended him since he was trying to turn over a new leaf.
Next on Friday’s Days episode, Stephanie invited Alex to stay for the dinner she was making instead of going out like they planned.
Alex handed over flowers and revealed that Sonny was back in charge at Titan, so Stephanie wondered if he was really OK with that.
Stephanie hinted about Alex seeming like a guy who wanted to be on top before laughing about how that sounded.
Alex admitted that was true, but he added that he was flexible and flirted with Stephanie.
Things took a passionate turn as Stephanie kissed Alex and took his shirt off.
Stephanie assured Alex that she was ready and led him toward the bedroom, but Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) interrupted with a call from jail.
Since Paulina was resigning, Stephanie had to handle the PR crisis – though she let Alex know they’d do this again soon.
Once Chad got updates on the emergency, he came over to help Stephanie craft a statement.
Stephanie put her hand on Chad’s shoulder as they worked and invited him to share the dinner she’d made for Alex.
At the pub, Sarah and Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) tried to cheer Bonnie up with a girls’ night, but Bonnie imagined Roman was her clown kidnapper and attacked him with a tray.
Roman ended up on the floor with a slight head wound, but he assured Bonnie, Maggie and Sarah that he was fine.
Bonnie, on the other hand, admitted she wasn’t fine at all.
Sarah could tell Bonnie was suffering from PTSD, but it became even more evident after Bonnie imagined Roman, Sarah and Maggie were all wearing clown masks.
While Bonnie rushed outside to get some air, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) confronted Xander at his motel room about the debt collector who came to the mansion.
Justin wanted to sue Rednax for wrongful termination and get Xander a settlement, but he needed some specifics like the name of Xander’s boss.
Xander turned Justin down and seemed tempted to confess the real story, but he ultimately just acted like he wasn’t used to being vulnerable with a mate.
Before Justin left, he warned that he wasn’t going to stop looking into all this Rednax business.
Justin seemed determined to get justice and pushed Xander to send over his employment contract since he was going to keep pestering him.
Once Justin headed out, Xander made a panicked phone call to Gwen and explained his dilemma.
Gwen agreed to whip up a fake employment contract using an online template and bring it to Xander in the park.
When Sarah returned to the motel room, she found a note saying Xander had gone for a run.
Sarah thought that was odd since it was awfully dark and cold for one.
In the park, Xander put some hot chocolate cups down and waited for Gwen.
As Xander battled his nerves, he spoke aloud about not letting this situation destroy his life.
Bonnie appeared nearby and overheard Xander before flashing back to the masked kidnapper saying the same thing.
Once Xander turned around, Bonnie tearfully realized he was her captor and accused him.
Back with Leo, he found Sonny alone and learned Chad had to abandon his meal to deal with work drama.
Sonny offered up Chad’s plate to Leo, who happily took him up on it.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Leo and Sonny’s bond will lead to more trouble soon, so stay tuned to DOOL.
