days Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, February 25, reveals that Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) impersonated Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) to trick a criminal while Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) used dead Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) to her advantage. Here’s how all Friday’s DOOL action went down.
At the DiMera mansion, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) worked to convince Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) that there was no other explanation other than Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) double-crossed her.
Meanwhile, Jake thought back to Johnny’s texts and assumed Gabi might be with him. Soon after, Jake caught Johnny leaning in on the verge of kissing Gabi.
Jake barged in the living room and demanded to know why Gabi lied about going to support Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).
Jake smoothed things over and insisted it was time to move forward with their takeover plan since Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) were out of town.
They all talked about how they’d call a board meeting to put Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) on the board and make Jake CEO of DiMera Enterprises.
Jake pointed out that Gabi would be named the head of Titan, so Gabi said that was indeed the deal they agreed to.
When Jake expressed concern over Johnny wanting the DiMera CEO spot for himself, Johnny acted like Gabi was a very persuasive woman and had convinced him Jake belonged at the top.
In a moment alone, Gabi pushed Jake to trust her and got a kiss from him. Johnny’s eyes glowed yellow as he watched and zapped Jake with a weird shock.
Jake brushed it off and said he had a surprise for Gabi later, but Johnny ultimately reminded Gabi that she had an even bigger surprise for Jake.
When Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) visited Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) apartment, she grew concerned over the cross that kept flipping upside down.
Julie said that was a sign of the devil himself and feared he might still be in Salem.
Ciara and Ben worried Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) might be possessed again, but Julie assured them that Doug was back to his old self.
Besides, Doug wasn’t present at the exorcism – and it was Julie’s understanding that the devil would have to be in the room to go into someone else.
After Julie talked about the fire that couldn’t be explained, Ben and Ciara kept the discussion going in private.
They ran down the list of who was at Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) exorcism and seemed to settle on Johnny as a top possession suspect since he delivered the cross.
At the courthouse on Friday’s Days episode, DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) made it clear that Nicole would need more than a hunch to get Rafe off the hook.
Nicole wound up confronting one of the perps who was accusing Rafe of planting evidence – a burly guy that Nicole greeted as Mr. Hutchins (Joe Basile).
Nicole lied about being Jennifer Deveraux from The Spectator and insisted she had proof of a frame-up that Ava orchestrated.
Nicole urged Mr. Hutchins to cut a deal and save himself or else Ava would take him down with her.
Nicole tried to get the perp to confess that Ava put him up to this, but DA Trask interrupted and called out the witness tampering.
Trask kicked Nicole out and advised her to get a lawyer unless she wanted to join her boyfriend at Statesville!
At the hospital, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) gave Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) updates on her plan to take Johnny for everything he had in the divorce.
Tripp was willing to testify about how Johnny didn’t instantly regret the marriage like he claimed.
After Tripp asked for Chanel’s opinion, he showed off the engagement ring and admitted he was going to propose to Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) tonight.
Chanel was taken aback, but she offered her support along with Allie’s favorite Cosmo recipe since Tripp wanted to put the ring in her glass.
In the town square, Allie found Ava crying and wondered what was wrong.
Ava claimed she just found out Rafe cheated on her with Nicole and then got accused of a revenge plot.
Allie asked if Ava was indeed out for revenge, so Ava pretended to take offense.
Ava swore on her son’s life that she was innocent – and Days fans saw a shot of Charlie’s grave.
Allie mistakenly assumed Ava meant Tripp and assured Ava that she believed her.
After Ava accidentally let something slip, Allie realized Tripp was going to propose tonight.
Ava worried Allie might say no because of her, but Allie felt she had a good relationship with Ava.
Allie suggested she’d never let that affect her answer for Tripp anyway.
Ava made Allie promise to act surprised when Tripp popped the question and took off.
Next, Chanel arrived and learned Allie was already in the loop on the proposal.
After Chanel admitted Tripp showed her the ring, she asked what Allie would say when he offered it.
Back with Tripp, he called Ava and asked her to pick up a couple things for the Cosmos he was making.
Ava thought it seemed like everything was all set for the big night, so Tripp gushed over how surprised Allie would be.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Tripp and Allie’s engagement will be derailed eventually, so stay tuned to DOOL!
