Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Friday, July 22, teases that Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) will want his baby while Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) faces a twist of fate. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will also try to offer some Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) answers, so let’s talk about some Salem surprises.
Now that Governor Mitchell (Richard Bramhall) has announced full pardons for Orpheus (George DelHoyo), Evan and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), they’ll be ready to make waves in Salem.
However, there’ll be two other Statesville inmates who end up getting released.
One is Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton), who’ll be ecstatic and seemingly thankful when he sees Orpheus.
It sounds like it’ll be revealed that Dr. Rolf was part of Kristen’s negotiations.
Dr. Rolf is always good to have around if you need a weird serum or other mad science experiment, so Kristen may get him off the hook and put him on standby
Gwen certainly isn’t Kristen’s favorite person, but Kristen could use an ally that she can control.
Since we know Gwen will also be released, Kristen may admit she arranged it with ulterior motives.
Maybe Kristen will warn that Gwen owes her a favor and add that she’s saving it for a rainy day.
Although Gwen may be concerned about the price of freedom, she’ll enjoy the chance to rebuild her life on the outside.
Once Dr. Rolf is officially out of prison, he’ll pop up at the DiMera mansion and celebrate. Dr. Rolf will gaze up at Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) portrait and raise a glass.
There’s always more mischief looming when Dr. Rolf is in the mix, so it’ll be interesting to see his next move.
Elsewhere, Days spoilers say Shawn will face a huge shocker.
The news of these pardons will catch Shawn off guard, but the real bomb should drop thanks to Evan.
Shawn fully believes he’s the father of the baby he’s taking care of, but that’s only because of Jan Spears’ (Heather Lindell) manipulation.
Since Evan won’t have to rot behind bars anymore, he’ll be determined to raise his son himself.
Evan could easily show up at Shawn’s place with updates on the true paternity.
Shawn may not believe Evan at first, but another paternity test that’s untampered with should clear things up eventually.
Regardless, Evan will want his baby and may come up with another name besides Shawn Christian Brady soon enough.
Across town, DOOL spoilers say Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) will prove helpful in the Abigail murder investigation, so she’ll offer her perspective to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and debate some clues with him.
Jada will also take the lead on Sarah’s interrogation, but Sarah will struggle to recall all the details of that night.
Perhaps Sarah will admit she hallucinated and pulled a knife on Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) recently – leading Jada to wonder if Sarah stabbed Abigail after envisioning Kristen.
That’s something Sarah is worried about as well, so her answers won’t do much to solve the case.
Sarah might hear about Kristen and Gwen walking free at some point, so that may leave her outraged and show Jada her vengeful side.
Other Days spoilers say Kristen will interrupt Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) conversation with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun).
After Jake grills Ava about Kristen’s latest stunt and what she might know, Kristen herself will appear – most likely with a vague explanation.
This visit may involve another alliance proposition for Jake to mull over.
Kristen will have big plans as a free woman, including some that involve DiMera Enterprises.
Maybe Kristen will hint that Jake needs to get in on this and ride to the top with her.
Jake should be a bit wary of Kristen under the circumstances, but we’ll see exactly how he responds.
In the meantime, Jake will dote on Ava and look forward to a bright future together – one that’ll be snuffed out due to Jake’s tragic outcome during the week of July 25-29.
