Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, March 18, reveals that Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) kissed Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and let Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) go. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) also rescued Belle Brady (Martha Madison) from Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) strangling, so here’s how all DOOL’s action went down.
At the townhouse on Friday’s Days episode, Chloe remained worried about Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas), who was furious over the plan to trap Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).
Brady and Chloe were left to hope that Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) and Will Horton’s (Chandler Massey) backup plan would work out.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) greeted Will and Sonny as the three of them spent some time catching up.
Chad reflected on how Leo had once been relentless in his pursuit of him – despite Chad being straight with a wife and two kids.
Sonny and Will admitted they wanted to use that to their advantage and explained the Craig situation.
Chad wondered where he fit in all this, so Will and Sonny acted like he could exploit Leo’s weakness for money as well as passion.
They wanted Chad to get Leo in bed, so the pitch left Chad shocked.
In the town square, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) admitted to Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) that the hospital was pushing her to fire Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).
Once Craig overheard, he approached Kayla regarding the news before Leo joined them.
That led to Steve and Kayla finding out Craig was dating Leo.
In fact, Leo insisted they were in love and took the opportunity to weigh in on Marlena’s dilemma since he’d read about the possession.
Once Kayla was alone with Steve again, she thought it seemed like Craig was embarrassed by Leo’s behavior.
However, Steve didn’t agree since Craig appeared to be looking at Leo adoringly the whole time.
Kayla mentioned how Craig had gone after the chief of staff position years ago and seemed concerned that he might try to pull something again.
At the pub, Craig sat down with Leo and complained about Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) spreading the word about their divorce.
Craig worried about being shut out of social circles and felt this could negatively affect his career since Nancy was beloved around the hospital.
Leo suggested going after the chief of staff position right there in town.
Although Craig acted like he liked his life in New York, Leo thought Craig could be a handsome big fish in a small Salem pond.
At the DiMera mansion, John got updates on Belle’s possession from Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), but he wanted to see for himself.
In the bedroom, possessed Johnny decided it might be simplest if Belle died – that way, everyone would like the devil died with her.
Johnny wrapped his hands around Belle’s neck and prepared to strangle her, but John burst in and demanded to know what Johnny was doing.
Johnny acted like he was just making sure Belle was still breathing.
Johnny created an illusion so that Belle’s eyes were still yellow when her sleeping lids were lifted, so John believed his daughter was indeed possessed.
Back at the townhouse on Friday’s Days episode, Chloe and Brady grew closer.
They talked about how it can be easy to buy into the idea of a fairytale – sometimes to the point where you miss the real thing right in front of you.
John interrupted briefly to gather some supplies for the exorcism he intended to perform himself, but he lied that he was working on a case.
Brady and Chloe didn’t believe John, but they decided not to borrow trouble.
After Chloe admitted she wasn’t hung up on Philip anymore, she accepted that he might never come back.
Chloe hoped Philip was OK, but she also knew he could be dead and refused to live in limbo anymore.
Once Chloe suggested that perhaps Brady had always been the one for her, he was over the moon.
Brady and Chloe shared a kiss as they celebrated their romantic breakthrough.
Back at the DiMera mansion, John kicked Johnny out ahead of the exorcism.
John didn’t want to risk the devil jumping into Johnny next – and Marlena agreed it was best to keep the group as small as possible.
In the living room, possessed Johnny was frustrated since he needed to be in the room to pull all his fake exorcism tricks.
Johnny got an idea and made a frantic phone call summoning Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) to help Belle.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Shawn will get duped by the devil soon enough, so stay tuned for more DOOL drama.
