Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Friday, May 20, teases that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) will face a horrible betrayal when Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) receives a last-minute save. Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) will also get honest with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), so here’s what DOOL fans can look forward to.
At the hospital, Tripp will speak to someone over the phone, so that could be Joey Johnson (James Lastovic) if he wants to reassure his brother.
However, it could also be Allie who Tripp summons since they really need to clear the air.
Allie was heartbroken when she feared Tripp might die because of his great sacrifice.
The thought of never telling Tripp she loved him again was devastating, so Allie was relieved when she heard Tripp pulled through.
Allie now has a chance to declare her love for Tripp and thank him for putting everything on the line.
Tripp has already admitted he still loves Allie, but he’ll no doubt tell her to her face and insist he gladly would’ve died for her.
When Tripp jumped out that tower window, he did it knowing that Allie had to live and be a mother to Henry Horton (Clyde and Nash Gunderson).
Tripp may assure Allie that he’ll always be there for Henry as well now that he’s received his miracle.
Of course, Allie may wonder where this leaves them romantically, but Tripp’s answer may not be what she wants to hear.
Days spoilers say this ordeal has made Tripp understand his worth, so he’ll get honest about that.
Tripp has a good heart and deserves someone who’ll love only him.
Since Allie’s feelings for Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) are the same problem that they’ve always been, Tripp can’t move forward with her.
It looks like Tripp and Allie will agree to stick to friendship, but what about Allie’s romance with Chanel?
Things are up in the air since the devil broke up with Chanel while in Allie’s body – and the same thing happened when Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) was possessed.
Nevertheless, Johnny never stopped loving Chanel and will reiterate that when they connect in the town square.
Days spoilers say Johnny will also speak with Chanel at the hospital later, so this could involve the launch of his big pitch to remarry.
When Allie comes around the corner, she’ll see Johnny making a heartfelt plea and Chanel looking like she’s considering it.
It’ll leave Allie feeling alone and unwanted, so she’ll have to do some soul-searching soon.
As for Chanel, she may not be sold on getting back together with Johnny – especially the wedding do-over part.
Chanel will have a lot on her mind, including her lingering love for Allie.
Other Days spoilers say Gabi and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) will get ready for a DiMera war, but EJ and Chad will feel confident they’ve got a victory coming.
It’ll be Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) who calls Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) and apparently throws all her support behind Gabi instead of her brothers.
This last-minute save should stop Gabi from being ousted and leave Chad as well as EJ seething.
At home, Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) will keep doing her best to pull Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) closer, but he’ll still be annoyed overall.
As for Belle Brady (Martha Madison), she’ll reach her breaking point during her next confrontation with Jan.
Belle’s going to unleash her fury and spark Jan’s hospitalization with all the drama, which should carry over into the week of May 23-27.
