Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Friday, September 16 Recap – Stefan & EJ Plot Against Gabi – Kristen Claims Brady Killed Philip

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, September 16, teases that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) had an outburst over Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) murder records while Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) plotted against Gabi Hernandez-DiMera (Camila Banus). Here’s how all the DOOL action played out.

First on Friday’s Days episode, Stefan confirmed that he was really back and offered an explanation to Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin).

Although Stefan trashed Gabi and wanted to pick up where he left off with Chloe, she revealed that she’d moved on.

Stefan found out Chloe was with Brady now and was urged to leave. However, Stefan insisted he wasn’t giving up on Chloe and hoped for a second chance at love.

At DiMera Enterprises, Gabi didn’t understand how Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) missed seeing Stefan when Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) fainted.

That led to Li getting defensive and asking what Gabi was accusing him of. Li wondered if Gabi thought he was lying, but she was just trying to figure this out.

When Gabi asked where Stefan went, Li suggested he might’ve gone to see Chloe. Gabi argued that Stefan’s relationship with Chloe was a “big fat nothing,” but Li said that wasn’t the impression he got.

After Gabi declared she was the only woman Stefan ever loved, Li acted like a lot had changed and felt it was for the best.

It would be complicated if Stefan remembered his feelings for Gabi, so Li suggested the slate was wiped clean – allowing her to focus on her current engagement and new future.

Li pushed Gabi to let Stefan go, but she couldn’t talk about this anymore and requested time alone. After Li hit the exit, Gabi pulled out Stefan’s ring and held it close.

At the DiMera mansion on Friday’s Days episode, EJ made calls as he tried to find Stefan. Soon after, Stefan appeared and was confused by EJ’s warm greeting since they were mostly strangers.

EJ argued they were still family and pitched the idea of teaming up to take back the company – starting by getting rid of Gabi. Stefan seemed pleased about this possibility as he toasted with EJ.

At the custody hearing, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) accused Brady of killing Philip.

There was talk about how Brady was blackout drunk next to a knife with his fingerprints on it and was covered in Philip’s blood.

Brady argued that the charges were dropped, but Kristen entered the police records into evidence and acted like they’d prove Brady was a murderer.

As Brady got increasingly riled, he ranted about Kristen stabbing his grandfather, raping his brother and trying to kidnap Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater).

Kristen snapped that she served her time, but Brady fired back about how it didn’t change the fact that she drugged people and held them hostage.

The judge reminded Brady that Kristen’s past crimes were inadmissible, so he brought up how Kristen threatened Chloe with a letter opener a few days ago.

Brady had a major outburst and called Kristen a violent psychopath, so Belle Brady (Martha Madison) pushed him to stop and apologized to the judge.

Kristen acted like Brady’s outburst was further proof against him and felt the judge would see why she didn’t want Rachel raised by a homicidal alcoholic.

After Kristen blamed all the negative changes in Brady on Chloe, Belle said she had witnesses lined up to testify about what a wonderful father he was.

The judge decided that was enough for today and added that they’d resume tomorrow.

Once the custody hearing was adjourned, Brady acted like Kristen’s pathological jealousy was the problem here.

Kristen suggested Brady’s obsession with Chloe the “homewrecking, baby-stealing whore” was the problem instead.

After Belle cornered Kristen alone, she appealed to her as a mother and felt Kristen should drop the case for Rachel’s sake.

Belle felt they could work out a joint custody agreement, but Kristen shut down the idea.

If Belle wanted a different outcome, Kristen said she should convince Chloe to let Brady go and move on with someone else.

As long as Chloe was with Brady, Kristen had no intention of dropping the case.

When Brady returned to Chloe’s suite, he admitted things went from bad to worse after she left.

Brady wanted to unwind by showering together, but Chloe had to tell him about Stefan’s return from the dead.

Chloe also revealed that Stefan wanted her back, so that got the wheels turning for Brady.

Since Kristen had the most to benefit from Stefan being alive and pursuing Chloe, Brady felt she was up to her neck in this.

In the town square, Ava assured Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) slept on the floor of her hotel room and that they were just buddies.

Allie also got updates on Ava pushing Johnny to go home or find somewhere else to live.

At the bistro later, Ava flashed back to her kiss with Johnny and seemed deep in thought.

Meanwhile, Johnny and Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) were surprised to see each other at Allie’s place.

Chanel learned that Johnny needed somewhere to crash since he wasn’t staying with Ava anymore.

Johnny acknowledged that he wanted to sleep with Ava, but she wasn’t ready.

That led to Chanel wondering what Johnny was thinking, but she denied being jealous.

Once Allie made it home, Johnny admitted he needed a place to stay.

Allie said she’d have to think about it, but Johnny argued that she shouldn’t feel threatened since Chanel chose Allie over him.

When prompted, Johnny apologized for nearly scheming with Paulina Price-Carver (Jackée Harry).

Allie also slammed Johnny’s interest in Ava and said she knew Ava rejected him because they just talked.

Nevertheless, Allie was concerned since Johnny was relentless when it came to what he wanted. Johnny thought the same could be said for Allie since she went after Chanel.

Allie pointed out that if Johnny was trying to convince her to let him stay, he wasn’t doing a great job.

Johnny backed down, so Allie said he could take the couch – though he shouldn’t get too comfortable.
