Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will reveal the full night of Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) death – at least from her perspective. DOOL will offer some shocking answers during Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) interrogation of Gwen, so let’s discuss what’s in store.
After Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) points the finger at Gwen to save himself, his betrayed BFF will land on the hot seat.
During the week of August 22-26, Days spoilers say Gwen will be forced down to the Salem PD for a grilling session.
Whether Gwen is officially under arrest by then or not, she’ll definitely know she’s in trouble.
Gwen may ultimately realize how serious the situation is and decide she’d rather go down for escaping than murder.
Perhaps Gwen will finally spill the whole truth in hopes of beating deadly charges.
Gwen might even try to cut a deal of some sort, but the point is she’ll end up confessing her version of events.
Rafe will convince Gwen to share her side of the story, so it may be the real deal and offer Days fans a chance to see what happened through flashbacks.
Of course, the truth behind Gwen’s night may be pretty simple.
Gwen escaped from Statesville and presumably made her way to the DiMera mansion wearing the Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) mask.
When Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) saw Sarah running out of the house, it had to be Gwen wearing the mask instead. “Sarah” looked rattled as she ran out – and she also dropped something as she went.
There’s a good chance Gwen came armed and potentially planned to kill Abigail herself, though Gwen might downplay that part.
Regardless, Gwen may have found the aftermath of the murder when she walked in.
That probably left Gwen in a panic as she saw Abigail bleeding out and led to her fumbling her own attempted murder weapon or something else she was carrying.
It’s possible Gwen caught a glimpse of the real killer or at least has a hunch about who it is.
Whatever the case, Gwen will maintain that she didn’t kill Abigail – even if she was tempted to and perhaps went to the mansion with that intention.
After Gwen spills her account to Rafe, DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) will deliver some stunning updates to Gwen and Leo.
Both of them could be looking at prison time since Gwen escaped and Leo was behind the stolen jewelry drama after trespassing.
Nevertheless, Leo and Gwen may eventually find a way to wiggle out of this legal nightmare.
