Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jessica Michel has joined DOOL as Sloan, so fans can watch Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) lawyer fight back against Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Let’s talk about Michel’s new character and what the future holds.
You might recognize Michel from her stint on America’s Top Model since she was a contestant in season 14.
Michel has also had acting roles in shows like The Hack Job, The Professionals and more.
As for who Jessica Michel will be playing on Days, she’ll hit Salem to defend Leo against the charges he’ll soon be facing.
Leo will find himself on the hot seat when it comes to Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) murder, so Sloan will serve as his attorney.
That’ll put Sloan in a position to clash with Rafe during the week of August 15-19.
Sloan will work hard to make sure Leo gets off the hook – and we’d say she’ll be defending a genuinely innocent client in this case.
Leo is shady and keeping secrets, but he doesn’t actually seem guilty of killing Abigail.
Real justice is needed, so it’s good that Sloan will go to bat for Leo and push for the truth to prevail.
Of course, Leo’s defense will just be a way to introduce Sloan to the show.
Sloan will end up becoming an important character beyond her legal expertise.
The fact that Sloan will spar with Rafe could be a hint about something romantic happening between them.
After all, it’s obvious that Rafe and Nicole Walker Hernandez’s (Arianne Zucker) marriage is doomed.
Nicole and Rafe didn’t even get an onscreen wedding, which says a lot about this duo.
Days certainly isn’t committed to Rafe and Nicole as a couple. They’re just an obstacle on the path to a reunion between Nicole and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).
Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) will serve as another “Ericole” roadblock, but the point is Eric and Nicole will find their way back to each other in time.
That’ll leave Rafe single and ready to mingle, so Sloan might become a romantic option for him eventually.
However, there are plenty of other hunks in Salem that Sloan might fall for, so it’ll be interesting to see what’s in store.
