Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) will face some witness stand pressure at EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) trial. Lucas will return to Salem for some shocking testimony as Belle Black (Martha Madison) fights to get EJ off the hook in court.
DOOL fans know Lucas recently reunited with Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney), who was eager to leave Salem following their reconciliation.
Sami was keen on a fresh start, so Lucas ultimately got on board.
They’re now living in Europe and spending some time with Sydney DiMera according to Days spoilers.
However, Days spoilers say Lucas will find himself on the witness list as EJ’s trial draws near.
That means Lucas will have to head back to Salem during the week of January 10-14.
There’s no mention of Sami coming with Lucas, so she may be spared from testifying due to her trauma.
Of course, the real reason probably involves Alison Sweeney’s scheduling conflicts.
The point is Lucas will take center stage at this trial and should land in some seriously hot water while he’s testifying.
Lucas will no doubt face questions about Sami’s rescue along with EJ’s treatment of her.
Perhaps Lucas will have to trash EJ for all his mistakes to establish a pattern – all while knowing he’s a lying kidnapper who intentionally tore apart EJ’s marriage and life.
Belle is a top-notch lawyer, so she might figure out Lucas is the true culprit as she prepares for this trial.
Regardless, Belle will need some evidence that could clear EJ’s name. A confession from the kidnapper himself would certainly work in EJ’s favor.
Maybe Belle will badger Lucas a bit on the stand and cause his explosive incriminating outburst.
It’s easy to imagine the guilt becoming too much for Lucas to bear.
Lucas will inevitably get nervous, so he could unburden himself right there to the judge and everyone else in that courtroom!
If not, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) is also going to battle serious guilt and could present another problem.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say this trial will be a real doozy when it comes to bringing DOOL drama.
