Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) will apparently be poisoned. An antidote will likely be needed after sudden illness strikes during the week of September 12-16, so let’s talk about what’s ahead on DOOL.
For starters, we should point out that Orpheus (George DelHoyo) wants to torture John Black (Drake Hogestyn), Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols).
If Orpheus really wanted to, he could’ve just blown up the women they loved and that would’ve been that.
Instead, Orpheus created that whole puzzle situation and allowed the rescuers to have a joyful reunion with the captives.
Kate, Kayla and Marlena were all saved, but Orpheus seemed pleased as he watched the monitor and insisted the games had only just begun.
Unfortunately, Days spoilers say that hostage crisis will come with some aftereffects.
Marlena, Kayla and Kate will all fall mysteriously ill at the same time, so this explains why Orpheus didn’t care about the rescue.
Orpheus had seemingly already done what he set out to do.
The fact that the three of them will all get sick simultaneously makes it sound like they were exposed to a slow-acting poison – one that’ll finally kick in and leave them growing sicker by the second.
Orpheus’ mind games will continue, so his secret partnership with Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) could come in handy. Perhaps Dr. Rolf will supply an antidote that Orpheus can use as leverage in his quest to make Roman, John and Steve pay.
It could even be a situation where the women have to keep receiving antidote doses regularly or else they’ll die. Days spoilers suggest that’d put Orpheus in charge for as long as he wants.
Steve, John and Roman may be completely at Orpheus’ mercy while he controls the fate of the women they love.
Of course, Orpheus may eventually cut off the supply and insist death is inevitable, so that could bring another scary ordeal down the road. We know Dr. Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) will return to Salem, so he could be instrumental in helping the ill former captives.
