Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, April 11, reveals that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) wanted to marry Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) in her childlike state. Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) new secret also stunned Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) – and Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) was ready to move on.
In the town square on Monday’s DOOL episode, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) ranted to Gwen about finding Ava in Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) bed.
Gwen then met up with Xander, who revealed that he confronted Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) about the failed antidote.
After Xander revealed that Sarah thought she was a little girl again, Gwen assumed he was ready to move on.
However, Xander had to talk to Sarah and see if he could get through to her.
Gwen acted understanding, but she secretly knew Xander wouldn’t have much luck due to the drug swap she pulled off.
At the hospital, Sarah happily ate her chocolate pudding before Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) appeared and called her “Renee.”
Sarah thought Tony was her daddy and laughed over him trying to trick her.
Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) brought Sarah some coloring books and explained to Tony that Sarah had regressed to childhood.
Although Maggie knew how much Tony had wanted to help Sarah, she blamed Anna for Sarah’s setback and wanted her to pay.
Next on Monday’s Days episode, Xander showed up and urged Sarah to remember him.
Sarah wondered what Xander’s name was and objected to the idea that they were supposed to marry.
Instead, Sarah said she had a crush on Eric. She wanted to marry Eric one day and have a baby with him.
Xander kept trying to jog Sarah’s memory before ultimately claiming he was just making up stories.
After Xander left, Sarah smiled over a wedding couple in her coloring book and labeled them like it was her for her own marriage to Eric.
At the Salem PD, Gabi was determined to take down Ava and wanted access to Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) file as part of that plan.
Rafe couldn’t give it to Gabi, but he suggested she could get a copy through his lawyer if he waived attorney-client privilege.
Later, Gabi looked through the file she acquired and got to work on proving Ava set Rafe up.
In the meantime, Tony visited Anna in the police interrogation room to blast her for Sarah’s decline.
Tony made it clear that Maggie wanted her to pay, so Anna worried about the possibility of going to prison.
At Jake’s place, Ava gave him a massage since his back was killing him after sleeping on the floor.
Gwen overheard Jake moaning and got the wrong idea, so she waited until they were done.
After Jake was gone, Gwen approached Ava about the steamy scene she overheard, but Ava insisted it was just a massage.
They eventually shifted gears as Gwen confessed to switching Sarah’s antidote for another mind-altering drug dose.
Ava wondered why Gwen would confess this to her, but Gwen argued that she needed to talk to someone who understood.
However, Ava thought Gwen’s actions were awfully low since Sarah was innocent in all this.
Gwen shrugged off her deviousness and acted like she simply did what she had to do.
Once Gwen reconvened with Xander later, she was pleased to learn he was giving up on Sarah.
Xander knew his life with Sarah was over, so he was ready for a new future with Gwen and wanted to get married.
At the Kiriakis mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) told Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) that he was the CEO of Titan now.
Sonny objected to being told what to do, but Victor knew he was tempted to accept the position.
After Sonny agreed to talk to Will Horton (Chandler Massey) about it, Victor did his best to comfort Maggie over Sarah’s condition.
Victor suggested that even if Sarah never returned to normal, he’d do everything he could to ensure that she remained happy.
