Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Monday, August 22, teases that Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) will come up with a cover story for Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) while Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) shocks Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton). Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) will also spill to Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty), so here’s what DOOL viewers will see next.
At the Salem PD, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will expect some answers about the mask in Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) possession.
Thanks to Leo’s tip, Rafe was able to retrieve this crucial evidence.
After Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) offer details of their own, Rafe may hurl accusations about Gwen’s brief escape.
Perhaps Rafe will argue that Gwen had enough time to break out, don the mask and kill Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) that fateful night.
Gwen certainly had a motive as well since she’s targeted her loathed sister before.
Rafe may insist that if Gwen wants to help herself, then now’s the time to start talking.
Days spoilers say Gwen will indeed offer her side of the story, but she’ll maintain that she’s innocent of Abigail’s murder.
Gwen may have to confess to her escape, but she definitely won’t admit she plunged the knife.
If Gwen can remember anything that might point to the real killer, that might bolster her case.
Regardless, Gwen will share with Rafe while Leo’s busy coming clean to his lawyer.
Sloan will find out what really happened from Leo’s perspective and use it to prepare her own defense.
Gwen could be in big trouble for her little field trip away from Statesville – and Leo will definitely remain in hot water over the jewelry fencing scheme.
DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) may not go easy on these two considering how she usually operates.
Other Days spoilers say Li will lie to Gabi now that she’s caught him with Dr. Rolf. Since Li can’t admit Stefan is alive, he’ll have to come up with some other reason to explain this meeting.
Although Li’s excuse might be a decent one, Gabi wasn’t born yesterday and will remain skeptical.
Li is an extremely guarded guy, so Gabi will struggle to trust him even more after this.
As for Dr. Rolf, he’ll finally make it back to the secret lab. That’s where Dr. Rolf will kick off his brainwashing procedure and accidentally jolt Stefan awake.
Days spoilers say Stefan will be disoriented when he snatches Dr. Rolf by the lab coat. Stefan will remember taking a bullet, but that’s about it.
We’ll see Stefan push Dr. Rolf for answers about his missing years, so Dr. Rolf will have quite a tale to tell.
Stefan will still love Gabi when he wakes up, but that could change if Dr. Rolf’s brainwashing kicks in later – or if he has another chance to drug Stefan and complete it!
Li needs Stefan to love Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) instead, so he’ll hold out hope for his twisted plan to work.
