Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Monday, January 10, teases that Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) will freak when Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) almost dies – and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) will chase after sad Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) following Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) heartbreaking decision. Let’s talk about what DOOL has in store.
Now that the devil’s in full control of Johnny, he’s wasted no time in stirring up trouble.
Chanel and Johnny planned to use this wedding reception to prove their love, but Johnny just insisted he didn’t want his wife!
Johnny no longer wishes to be married to Chanel, so she’s struggling to grasp what’s going on.
Once Chanel and the other guests realize Johnny is actually serious, that’s when the real fireworks will begin.
Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) will have to hold Paulina back from attacking Johnny, who’ll remain calm about the whole thing. He’ll make it clear that Chanel is a bad match for him and perhaps act like he’s bored with her by now.
Johnny may argue that he deserves a better woman – someone who’s more his equal.
Johnny might suggest EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) was right about Chanel only being in this for the money, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Chanel truly fell for Johnny, so her heart will break into a million pieces as he spouts off such nasty lies and insults.
When Chanel decides she just can’t take any more of this, she’ll rush out of the room and keep right on going. Chanel will want to get as far away from the DiMera property as possible.
Chanel will be a humiliated mess when Allie finally catches up with her, but she’ll accept her bestie’s comfort and set the stage for more drama.
Back with Paulina, she’ll follow Johnny as he starts to head upstairs. There’ll be a bizarre moment when Paulina seems transfixed as she stands at the bottom of the staircase, so the devil may put her under some sort of spell.
Paulina might end up tumbling down that staircase if Johnny forces her up it and causes a dramatic fall.
Whatever the case, Paulina will suffer a near-death experience that leaves Lani freaking out. Once Lani comes to Paulina’s aid, she’ll be relieved to see her biological mother is OK.
This obviously won’t repair all the damage of Paulina’s lies, but it’ll serve as a nice thaw anyway.
In the meantime, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) will enjoy a poker game with John Black (Drake Hogestyn), but it’s the advice that’ll he’ll be truly grateful for.
John can be a bit of a love doctor when he wants to be, so Days spoilers say he’ll lend an ear and perhaps urge Abe to move forward with Paulina.
Since Paulina would make Abe happy, John may think Abe’s only hurting himself if he doesn’t get past what she’s done.
Abe could get another reason to soften and fully reunite with Paulina thanks to this near-death experience. It’ll serve as a reminder of how fleeting life can be and hopefully make Abe decide to try trusting Paulina again.
At the hospital, Days spoilers say Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) will struggle to find anything physically wrong with Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk).
Susan will think that’s because there’s an evil presence in Salem that’s causing her health woes. She vomited right after the devil gained total control of Johnny, so Susan is right on the money.
Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) knows better than to be skeptical of Susan’s premonitions by now, so she may grow increasingly concerned.
Even if Marlena doesn’t realize the devil’s still in town, she’ll probably have a bad feeling about what’s next!
