Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, January 17, reveals that Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) revealed Craig Wesley’s (Kevin Spirtas) condom and credit card bill cheating trail. EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) also delivered a death threat in court, so here’s how all the DOOL drama went down.
At the courthouse on Monday’s Days episode, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) slapped the devil’s version of EJ and pushed him away.
Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) flew into a rage over “EJ” kissing Abigail against her will, but EJ tried to imply it was mutual.
However, Abigail insisted it was an attack and expressed her disgust. Chad felt the same and tried to lunge at “EJ,” but Abigail intervened.
EJ acted like he had to take his shot with Abigail since he might be going to prison, but Chad felt prison was too good for his brother.
Just outside the courtroom, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) were talking about the “frame-up” when DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) appeared.
That forced Lucas and Kate to cover, but DA Trask was counting on Lucas to help her put EJ away.
After the devil transformed from his EJ illusion back into Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), he defended EJ’s innocence to Kate and Lucas.
That said, Johnny suggested he was glad to have someone like Lucas taking care of Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney).
Once court was back in session, Chad took the stand again and shocked Belle by insisting EJ was as guilty as sin!
Belle couldn’t figure out why Chad had turned against EJ all over again. As Chad was getting off the stand, Johnny stepped forward to rip into him and defend his father.
EJ couldn’t figure out why Chad seemed to be angry over something that happened with Abigail.
Johnny felt Chad just proved he couldn’t be trusted, so he was eager to get over to the DiMera lawyers and finalize power of attorney on the shares transfer.
After Lucas was on the stand, DA Trask kept things simple by getting him to identify Jason Smith (Noel Gugliemi) as the one holding Sami captive.
Trask then pointed out Jason was the same one who received the payments, but Belle wondered if Lucas might be the kidnapper himself.
Belle asked about Lucas’ alibi, so he claimed he was with Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson).
That left Belle suggesting it was awfully convenient that Lucas’ alibi was now presumed dead.
Lucas acted like it was ridiculous to suggest he was the kidnapper and thought EJ was just jealous now that he was with Sami instead.
EJ ultimately had a major outburst, so he accused Lucas of being the guilty one and threatened to kill him.
DA Trask smirked as the judge decided he’d pretend he didn’t just hear a death threat in his courtroom – though he warned Belle to put a muzzle on her client or else EJ would be held in contempt.
After court adjourned for now, EJ continued to fume and fret over Lucas.
Belle, on the other hand, was more interested in finding out what was going on with Chad.
Abigail couldn’t understand why EJ would intentionally provoke Chad at such a terrible time.
Abigail wanted Chad to level with her about EJ’s innocence, but Chad insisted EJ was far from innocent!
When Kate dropped by later, she got updates from Chad on the whole situation with Abigail.
Kate was baffled over EJ acting like he wanted to get thrown in prison.
In the town square, Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) discussed how Johnny’s shares plus EJ’s shares could prove helpful.
Gabi and Jake decided that if Johnny was a true DiMera like his father, he had no scruples and could be corrupted.
When Johnny appeared, Gabi and Jake approached him about how their causes could align.
Johnny got rather flirty with Gabi and told her to text him later since he didn’t have time to chat now, though he made it clear he was VERY interested.
Jake wondered if that little punk was hitting on Gabi, who definitely thought he was.
Gabi also thought they could use that to their advantage. Outside the pub, Johnny smiled to himself about always thinking Gabi was hot.
Johnny declared that Gabi would be his soon and thought there were fringe benefits to doing the devil’s handiwork.
Next on Monday’s Days episode, Nancy sat down with Chloe and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) to share why she thought Craig was cheating with another woman.
Craig was supposedly working late at the hospital three nights a week now – and Nancy found condoms in Craig’s briefcase after a medical conference.
When Nancy confronted Craig, he got angry and claimed they were giving them out as part of some safe-sex seminar.
Nancy also found $500 restaurant bills that were charged to Craig’s credit card, so she had good reasons to be suspicious.
Craig also hadn’t been keeping in touch with Chloe, which was odd considering everything she had been going through.
Nancy admitted Craig was at another conference in Dallas and wanted to go confront him, but Brady and Chloe talked her out of it.
They recapped how misunderstandings and accusations caused problems with Philip, who Chloe had to take a step back from since his jealousy was so out of control.
Nancy decided to hold off on confronting Craig, but she wondered if Chloe and Brady might still get back together.
They maintained that they were strictly friends and weren’t living under the same roof, so Nancy thought maybe she could stay with Chloe for a while if she left Craig.
Chloe wanted to help her parents fix their marriage if she could and privately called Craig soon after. Chloe left her dad a voicemail and indicated that she needed to talk to him about something.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say some exciting developments are still to come in Craig’s storyline, so stay tuned to DOOL.
