Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, July 11, reveals that Will Horton (Chandler Massey) spilled Lucas Horton’s (Bryan Dattilo) drunk secret to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) while Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) lied to protect Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) marriage. Here’s how Monday’s DOOL episode played out.
At the pub, Eric admitted to Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) that once he was ready to confess his true feelings to Nicole, she was already married to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).
Now Eric felt that he should move on like Nicole, but Roman seemed doubtful about his son’s ability to do that.
Meanwhile, Nicole gathered up the reminder of her belongings and discussed Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) having the apartment to herself.
Allie supported her parents’ marriage, but Nicole worried about Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) using Lucas to fool herself into thinking she didn’t belong with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerreigel) – the love of her life.
After Allie hinted that Nicole might be doing the same thing, Nicole was adamant about Rafe being the man she was in love with now.
At the DiMera mansion, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) could tell that EJ was still in love with Sami, but EJ acted like his problem was Sami marrying her kidnapper. However, Johnny wasn’t sold on Lucas’ guilt.
Next on Monday’s Days episode, Will helped Lucas, who was having trouble with his cufflinks in his hotel suite.
That’s when Will noticed the large bandage and kept pushing for answers about how Lucas got a gash on his palm.
Lucas finally admitted he couldn’t remember since he got blackout drunk.
Will grew concerned about Lucas marrying Sami so soon after a slipup, especially since they were starting out this marriage with a big secret between them.
Nevertheless, Lucas said he’d tell Sami later and argued that it was just a one-time deal.
Allie was curious what was going on when she arrived, but Lucas and Will left her out of the loop.
On a bench, Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) comforted Chad following a rough outing with the kids.
The conversation shifted to Kate’s concern about her relationship with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) since she hadn’t told him about Lucas being Sami’s snatcher.
Kate said Lucas didn’t want anyone to know and that he was appalled when he found out Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) knew the truth.
After Kate realized her slipup, Chad did as well. Although Lucas found out Abigail knew the day she was murdered, Kate insisted Lucas never would’ve killed her.
Later, Will came along looking worried, so Chad pushed him to open up.
After Will confessed that Lucas fell off the wagon, Chad’s wheels started turning as he asked when this happened.
At the townhouse, Sami had ditched the crutches and ultimately donned her dress for the wedding ceremony.
Marlena filled Sami in on Clyde Weston’s (James Read) arrest and EJ’s belief that Clyde might’ve gone after Abigail because of him.
That led Marlena admitting that Clyde was the one behind EJ’s “death.”
Sami was furious over Clyde setting all that in motion, especially since she worked so hard to bring EJ back from what he’d been through.
Since EJ had lashed out during that difficult time, it reminded Sami that she was making the right choice by marrying Lucas.
Johnny eventually came along and pointed out that EJ was in pain, but Sami felt it was best for everyone to move on.
Outside the pub on Monday’s Days episode, Eric bumped into Nicole and faced questions about what he wanted to talk to her about the other day.
After EJ walked over, Eric covered by acting like he just wanted to spend some time with Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander).
Once Eric took off, EJ teased Nicole about returning to her old cheating ways.
After Nicole brought up Belle Brady (Martha Madison) and tried to get EJ to admit he slept with her, Sami appeared nearby.
